SALARY RANGE : Total Annual Package (CTC) –R743,295.00 - R874,465.00
LOCATION : ICASA (Head Office – Eco Park, Centurion)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
Ensure that all financial aspects of the applicable legislations are adhered to in account for the revenue. Ensure that all the revenue is accounted for in correct period, monitor that all daily transactions are recorded in line with the internal processes and procedures. Ensure that all interdepartmental Service Level Agreements are adhered to, improve on reporting systems by implementing effective processes.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and the responsibilities will include: ● Management of Database and Debtors (All revenue streams) ● Management of Reconciliations between Spectrum and JD Edwards Systems ● Daily and Month End General Ledger Reconciliations ● Half yearly Matching of accruals and Annual Request for Electronic Communication Accruals ● Impairment of Electronic Communication Debtors ● Reporting and resolving audit queries ● Prepare and implement the operation plan for the Unit ● Designing and reviewing policies and procedures ● Legislative Compliance ● Risk Management.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Three-year degree with accounting as a major or equivalent ● 3 years relevant experience ● Dealing with internal and external auditors ● Annual and half yearly verification, database management ● Experience in public sector ● Experience in accounting ● Extensive experience in Database management (MS-Access proficient) and Excel proficiency ● Membership of a professional body is an added advantage – such as SAICA, SAIPA, etc.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT: BUDGETS AND PROJECTS

SALARY RANGE : Total Annual Package (CTC) - R635,295.00 - R747,406.00

POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
Prepare and manage the budgets of the organization and also prepare the required management reports and all other statutory reports in accordance with the policy and procedures of the organization and to ensure it adheres to the PFMA Act and National Treasury Regulations.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Manager: Management Accounts and the responsibilities include: ● Running management accounts reporting ● Preparing and submitting quarterly NT reports and MTEF & ENE databases ● Updating and maintaining MS-Access tools ● Updating budgeting tools and consolidating inputs from divisions ● Budget confirmations ● Monthly management accounts and reporting Monthly accounts write-ups ● Preparation and submission of the statutory templates and databases ● Preparation of internal quarterly reporting ● Annual budget preparation ● Mid-year budget review ● Budget process and virements.
Qualifications and Experience: ● Relevant 3 year degree (NQF L7)/Equivalent ● 3-4 years experience in management accounts. ● 3-5 years managerial experience ● 4-7 years professional experience ● 6–8 years working experience ● Solid experience in Management accounts ● Solid experience in Public Service Budgeting ● Solid experience in Project Management ● Knowledge of the National Treasury and PFMA regulations, GRAP and other relevant regulations and legislations.
Key Competencies and Attributes: ● Results driven ● Analytical Thinking ● Attention to detail ● Able to work and make decisions under pressure ● Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel and Access) and knowledge of large ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards ● Excellent oral and written communication skills ● Ability to respond rapidly on occasion when speed of decision is important.
