DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

SALARY : Total Annual Package (CTC) â R364,583.00
LOCATION: ICASA (Head Office â Sandton)
POSITION STATUS : Permanent
Purpose of the job
The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for Desktop Support to end users and optimization of desktops and printer support. This includes installing of software and hardware and troubleshooting problems and resolving them as per SLA.
Key Outputs: The successful candidate will report to the Network Operations Manager and the responsibilities include: â End user support and optimization of desktop environment â Reactive on-site assistance to internal clients â Daily administration for client PCs and network printers â Applications support on Desktops â Support computer devices such as tablets, computer peripherals and other devices that connect to the network â Providing support on audio visual and video conferencing â Email client support â Resolve issues that are reported to the Helpdesk, 2nd line support â Provide feedback about customer needs â Stand in for the Helpdesk Administrator when Helpdesk Administrator is unavailable â Risk Management â IMAC (Installation, Moves, Additions, and Changes) of Hardware & Software.

Qualifications and Experience: â Matric plus, and IT Degree (3 years) in Information Technology or equivalent qualificationâ N+, A+ â Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) â 3-5 years Desktop Support experience, Supporting Microsoft Operating System Windows 8/10 â Supporting MS Office Suite & Office 365, MS Active Directory, MS Lync â Skype for Business.
