Manager: Supply Chain Management
(Paterson Grade: D2)
Remuneration package: R885 337 per annum (Cost to Council)
This position is responsible for ensuring the coordination and management of Council's procurement/supply chain activities, development of strategic objectives for supply chain and sourcing policy of the organisation and to manage the Travel Office of the HPCSA.
Minimum requirements: • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent (NQF L7) qualification in Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics Management • Project Management Certification will be an added advantage • 6+ years' supply chain management experience • At least 3-5 years' management experience in a supply chain division.
Competency requirements: • In-depth knowledge of supply chain end-to-end processes and best practice • Project management skills • Thorough knowledge of relevant governing legislation • Documenting and record management skills • Financial and procurement management skills • Corporate governance • Report-writing skills • A sense of urgency • The ability to work under pressure • Excellent communication skills.
Principal accountabilities and key performance areas: • Manage HPCSA's strategic sourcing, procurement, contracting and evaluation of services • Develop, review or update supply chain practices that support business strategies in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations and laws • Design and implement supply chain models to help facilitate or coordinate supply chain discussions with customers • Develop material costs forecasts and standard cost lists • Develop and implement contract management and procurement frameworks, negotiate SLA and draft and manage contracts • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, legal services, professional boards to identify or qualify new suppliers • Document physical supply chain processes, such as workflows, turnaround times or system flows • Provide expert advice and guidance in terms of Supply Chain management to the entire organisation • Direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance within the division • Analyse supply chain lists to determine how to increase turnaround times, reduce waste or optimise customer services • Ensure that effective and efficient internal financial controls are established • Ensure the development of quality and risk management frameworks for the Department • Assess and identify new procedures and their operational risks within the Supply Chain Department and proactively mitigate them • Ensure that the Supply Chain Division has an effective and efficient complaints handling mechanism • Manage and evaluate staff, operations and budget of the supply chain division as per the HPCSA's policy • Submit monthly reports to the office of the Chief Financial Officer.

Microsoft Developer
(Paterson Grade: CU)
Remuneration package: R682 362 per annum (Cost to Council)
Minimum requirements: • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Bachelor's degree/N Diploma in Information Technology • Development Certifications in Microsoft or Oracle will be added advantages • 5 years' software development experience.
Competency requirements: • Proven experience in C#.NET, XML and Webservices • Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server • Good analytical skills • Problem-solving skills • Troubleshooting and debugging skills • Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Principal accountabilities and key performance areas: • Design, code and maintain systems according to approved standards • Document end-user requirements • Develop technical and functional specifications • Perform user acceptance testing • Adhere to change management processes at all times • Undertake ongoing management and maintenance of Business Applications • Monitor updates, tunes and diagnosis to ensure that new updates and patches are applied • Conduct end-user training when a new functionality is deployed • Assist with the identification and management of identified risks • Assist in the development of IT Division's Operational Plan • Perform ad hoc requests for the Head of Division: Information Technology.
