The Commission for Gender Equality (CGE) is an Independent and statutory body created in terms of the SA Constitution. The CGE is committed to a society free from gender oppression and all forms of inequality. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions.

Job specification / Job Requirements
The overall role of the position is to assist the communications unit with its functions. These functions include but not limited to the following; project administration, graphic design, coordination and administration of digital media tools of the CGE.
KPAs:
- Assist the unit with administration tasks
- Assist in the administration tasks of specific projects of the communications unit
- Assist in desktop publishing processes of the unit
- Liaise with various departments and units of the CGE in gathering information needed for publishing, circulation and archiving
- Graphic design of basic material needed for digital media of the CGE
- Proof reading of content intended for circulation internally and externally
- Work closely with the administrator in tracking the progress of project plans
- Operate social media accounts of the CGE, following the communications strategy and plans
- Assist in videography and photography assignments in events of the CGE
- Edit videos and photo stock of the CGE
Basic Requirements:
- 3 year National Diploma / Undergraduate degree in Media Studies, Multimedia Studies, Graphical Design or Communication Science
- Portfolio of design work, i.e. graphic design
