The Administrator: Levies and Grants will support the finance initiatives of the HWSETA to perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions (Discretionary Grants).
Required minimum experience: 2 years’ experience in accounts payable or general accounting experience; Experience in the administration of fund and grants disbursements within the public sector; Experience within financial creditors / account administration; Demonstrable experience in financial administration
Minimum Educational Requirements: Matric/Grade 12; National Diploma in Accounting or equivalent (NQF Level 6)
Duties: Discretionary grants administration; WSP/ATR Administration; Stakeholder Relations and Risk Management
- Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions (Discretionary Grants); Allocate payment requisitions to the relevant contract and inspect requisition batches and support documentation;
- Capture invoice/claims on the payment system to ensure accurate grant disbursement.
- Accurately file proof of payments in the contract file for future reconciliations and reference.
- Assist with all month end processes, reconciliation of Grant payments and the Grants Account.
- Send and follow up on Banking detail requests sent to employers.
- Update new Banking details on the systems and verify before approval
Remuneration package: R 285 005 per annum

The Commitment Officer will support management in meeting and exceeding the overall objectives of the commitment management within the HWSETA’s Finance Department to maintain the commitments register is accurate, complete, and up to date.
Required minimum experience: 4-6 years as a Commitment Officer; SETA experience would be advantageous; SAICA Articles an added advantage
Minimum Educational Requirements: Matric/Grade 12; B.Com Accounting/Finance; B.Com Accounting Honours added advantage
Duties: Financial Administration; Commitments
Administration; Adherence to relevant systems, policies and Governance process; Ad hoc duties and Auditing:
- Carry out additional duties or responsibilities, which fall reasonably within the domain of the role profile, or in accordance with operational requirements
- Assist with Internal and External auditing processes, as and when necessary
- Adhere to the implementation of the financial management of the financial management systems and policies; and optimize control and processes
- Commit new DG contracts and Amendments contracts on the commitment register
- Manage and maintain commitment register
- Prepare Month and yearend Discretionary grants accruals and provision journals etc
Remuneration package: R 602 267 - R 805 157 per annum
