EDUCATION, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES SECTOR EDUCATION TRAINING AUTHORITY (ETDP-SETA)
The ETDP SETA invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the following vacant positions:
PROVINCIAL SKILLS ADVISORS – TWO POSTS: EASTERN CAPE [1 POST - REF. 1930/25] | KWAZULU-NATAL [1 POST - REF. 1930/26]
Salary: R698,169.00 per annum (Total Cost to Company)
Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 7) in Education, Training and Development or Public Administration or Business Administration or Business Management or Bachelor of Project Management • A certificate or diploma in Project Management would be advantageous if a Bachelor’s degree does not include a Project Management qualification • At least five (5) years’ experience in skills development processes within the ETD sector, with three years of working experience in a Project Management implementation environment • Experience in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques is essential. This includes extensive knowledge and experience in the project lifecycle, planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, administration system operations, project financial management and quality assurance • Knowledge and understanding of the Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) environment • Sound knowledge and experience in stakeholder relations management with good negotiation skills in the coordination of services • Proven experience in coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating projects/programmes • Knowledge of document management systems for organising and maintaining project documentation • Good understanding and extensive knowledge of applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, and procedures in skills development, including the Skills Development Act (SDA), Skills Development Levies Act (SDLA), Discretionary Grants Regulations, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Service Level Agreement Framework, and Contract Management • A valid driver’s licence is mandatory.
The successful candidates will be based at the ETDP SETA Offices in East London and Durban and will be required to enter into a performance agreement with the SETA.
EDUCATION, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER (ETDQA OFFICER) - RE-ADVERTISEMENT LIMPOPO [1 POST - REF. 1930/27]
Salary: R561,033.00 per annum (Total Cost to Company)
Requirements: • A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) qualification in Education, Training and Development or Public / Business Management or Public / Business Administration • A recognised qualification in Total Quality Management or Occupationally Directed Education, Training and Development Practices (ODETDP) will be advantageous • At least four years of demonstrated experience in skills development processes within an education, training and development / learning environment, preferably in quality assurance, accreditation, and the verification of learners’ achievements, assessment, and moderation processes • Possessing the following unit standards: SAQA 115753 or 7978 and SAQA 115759 or 7977 will be an added advantage • Experience and knowledge in Education, Training and Development Quality Assurance (ETQA) processes • Experience and knowledge of QCTO requirements • Advanced computer literacy skills with MS Office packages and Information Management Systems (IMS) • Excellent report writing, administrative, presentation and communication skills • Knowledge and experience of Skills Development legislation, including the Quality Assurance Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) framework, policies and regulations, Quality Assurance imperatives, National Qualifications Framework, learnership registrations and skills programmes packaging and recording • Knowledge of accreditation and external moderation processes • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality assurance • A valid driver’s licence is mandatory

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (SDO): EASTERN CAPE [1 POST - REF. 1930/28]
Salary: R561,033.00 per annum (Total Cost to Company)
Requirements: • Matric (Grade 12) with a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Education, Training and Development or Human Resources Development or Business Management or Public Management or Project Management • At least 3 years demonstrated experience in skills development processes in an ETD environment with at least two years of experience in project administration • Good understanding of Skills Development legislation, policies and regulations • Strong computer skills with MS Office packages and Management Information System (MIS) skills • Ability to plan and organise work and to work using own initiative • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member • Ability to liaise effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders • Be prepared to work outside of official hours and work under pressure • A valid driver’s licence is mandatory.
The successful candidate will be based at the Ikhala TVET College in Queenstown and will be required to enter into a performance agreement with the SETA.
PROVINCIAL RECEPTIONIST AND SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR: EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE [1 POST - REF. 1930/29]
Salary: R171,234.00 per annum (Total Cost to Company)
Requirements: • Must have a senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4) • A certificate in switchboard operation will be an added advantage • A minimum of three (3) years of Receptionist and/or Switchboard management experience or proven experience in an office environment handling large numbers of calls • Working in a SETA/training environment or public entity will be advantageous • Computer literacy in MS Suite Office packages • Proven good telephone etiquette and problem-solving skills • Excellent administrative skills • Oral and written communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and think proactively where required • High levels of personal planning and organising skills • Have the ability to exchange information politely and helpfully/and must have a passion for customer service excellence.
The successful candidate will be based at the ETDP SETA Office in East London and will be required to enter into a performance agreement with the SETA.
