Title of the Job: ICT Network and ICT Risk Operator
Grade / Level C1 (Paterson)
Location: Sandton
Salary: Market related

Overall Responsibility: The incumbent is expected to maintain a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate must be able to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment to ensure smooth network operations.
Key Performance Areas:
• Provide Institution Continuity and Disaster Recovery
• Assists in the development and delivery of IT risk & security awareness and compliance training programs
• Provide Network Administration
• Risk Management
• Meetings
• SAP Systems Administration
• System Administration and ICT support
• Teamwork
• Assignments from the ICT Manager as and when required
Qualification & Experience: A minimum of Appropriate Recognized Diploma in ICT or related qualification at (NQF Level 6). Ideally: a relevant (NQF 7) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. At least 3-4 years of work experience as an ICT network administrator or related field.
Competencies: Proven experience in a network administrator role ● Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching ● Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure ● Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired ● Ability to set up and configure server hardware ● Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies ● Great at organising, prioritising and multitasking ● Juniper, Cisco, SAP, CWNA or BCNE training
