Description
Purpose of the Job:
To design and apply research techniques to gather, process and analyse insights. Gather insights through conducting relevant market and bespoke research. Identify market conduct trends, write reports and present research findings to various stakeholders. The person will also conduct relevant international benchmarking research taking into account behavioural insights techniques. The person will also be responsible for conducting fieldwork research such as mystery shopping when required. The person appointed to this position will report directly to the Senior Manager: Economic and Market Risk Analysis.
Key Performance Areas:
•Assist the department in designing and applying research techniques to gather, process and analyse insights.
•Gather primary data using questionnaires, surveys, and interviews amongst other methods.
•Conduct mystery shopping research, conduct surveys and other relevant fieldwork.
•Conduct relevant international benchmarking research using various sources of information.
•Record findings, analyse and interpret patterns and trends.
•Assist with monitoring and analysing financial consumer sentiments from online and social media platforms.
•Write research proposals, reports and present research findings and observations.
•Engage and collaborate with colleagues from other teams (various internal stakeholders) as required to deliver joint projects and/or generate new insights.
•Perform such other tasks necessary or desirable to enhance the performance of the department.

Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in behavioral economics, Marketing, or related fields of study with at least 5 years working experience related to research. A relevant postgraduate degree would be an added advantage. The candidate must also have sound understanding of research methodologies and demonstrable experience in designing and applying research techniques.

Description
Purpose of the Job:
Responsible for leading, developing, monitoring and managing the PMO function. The role will support the successful delivery of organizational strategic programs undertaken by providing oversight to inform prioritization decisions, defining and maintaining project management standards through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting. The person appointed to this position will be reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Key Performance Areas:
•Develop and implement the PMO strategy and operating model, frameworks and charter.
•Ensure management and leadership of project Managers including managing the day-to-day activities in the PMO, providing guidance on PMO policies and processes, overseeing project management staff, and collaborating with other department leaders to deliver projects.
•Drive Demand Management process in consultation with relevant stakeholders

Requirements
A Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, Business Administration or related field. qualification; with at least 10 years’ relevant experience in Project Management; of which 7 years must be at a management level. The candidate must demonstrate experience in leading diverse teams, experience with Agile methodologies and one or more project management methodologies (e.g. PMI PMBOK, and PRINCE2).Demonstrated management/supervisory experience in project management and the execution of multiple or large projects, during which more than one of the following occurred – Thought leader with a view to creating a viable PMO service and supporting pragmatic delivery of projects; Competency in strategic thinking and leadership, with strong abilities in relationship management; Leadership of multidiscipline and high-performance work teams; Proven track record of successful delivery of programs and projects; and Good knowledge of portfolio management strategy.

Description

Description:
The FSCA offers bursaries to matriculants and/or students with disabilities who are studying at any recognised South African university or any accredited institution of higher learning.
What the Bursary Covers:
The FSCA bursary for students with disabilities covers full-time studies in Data Science / Business Management / BCom: Economics / BCom: Finance and Bachelor of Laws degree. This bursary covers registration costs and tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, accommodation including meals, monthly allowance for incidental expenses and supportive learning device such as a wheelchair, Zoom Text software, or a Jaws Reader, computer or any device recommended by a medical doctor.
Duration:
The bursary will be awarded for the duration of the identified qualification.
What is Expected
The bursar(s) will be required to enter into a work-back contract with the FSCA proportional to the number of years they have been funded by the organisation. Experiential learning will be provided to bursar(s) during and upon completion of their studies.

Description
Purpose of the Job:
To conduct forensic regulatory investigations within the financial services industry (financial markets, insurance, collective investment schemes, hedge funds, pension funds and financial and advisory services) and to take responsibility for the regulatory and enforcement action, following from such investigations. Persons appointed to these positions will report to the Senior Manager.
Key Performance Areas:
•Assess complaints and new cases for further action.
•Create and execute clear, focused, and efficient investigation plans with reasonable timelines.
•Conduct quality investigations (gathering all relevant, admissible evidence and proper analysis of the evidence);
•Take responsibility for the execution of all enforcement actions, including the drafting of all enforcement documentation presentation to enforcement meetings, debarments, withdrawal of licences and administrative penalties.

Candidates must demonstrate the following skills and attributes: proven interviewing skills, a confident and decisive approach particularly in difficult situations must be a person with a high level of judgement and integrity; and must be able to carry out duties independently, impartially, and objectively. An LLB, Accounting, or Forensic orientated degree, with at least 3 to 4 years’ experience in litigation, prosecution, forensic investigation, or forensic accounting; an admitted attorney or advocate (for law incumbents) A good knowledge and understanding of the law of evidence (admissibility; documentary and computer-generated evidence); and the financial sector will be an advantage.
