Applications are invited from suitably qualified, experienced and passionate individuals for the Pretoria-based position of:
RISK AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER: (REF: RCO)
 
Duties & Responsibilities
This position calls for an energetic and dynamic person to assist in providing administrative support to the risk management unit towards the implementation of Risk Management Framework, monitoring compliance and direct the development and implementation of Business Continuity Management Strategies. 
 
In addition, the successful applicant will be required to Conduct Compliance monitoring in accordance with WRC’s compliance management framework, they must be able to facilitate Risk Assessment Workshops and identify all relevant risk areas in line with Public Sector Risk Management Framework. The incumbent is expected to be able to engage and collect input from all the risk owners regarding risk treatment plans, and conduct Ethics Awareness and ensure Monitoring and Reporting (Board, Audit Committee and EXCO).
 
Desired Experience & Qualification
A Three (3-year) NQF 6 qualification in Commerce (Business Administration/Internal Auditing/Accounting) is required. A Postgraduate qualification in Risk Management,  Compliance Management/ Business Administration will be an advantage. Membership with the Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) will also be an added advantage. 3 years’ experience in Risk and Compliance Management within the Public sector is required. Experience in Risk Assessment and Monitoring will be an added advantage.
 
The candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to deal with confidential and or/ sensitive information with exceptional diplomacy and high level professionalism. The successful applicant must have Project Management and understanding of COSO, ISO31000 and Public Sector Risk Management Framework, must have knowledge of risk treatment plans, and be able to demonstrate experience in Risk Management reporting and consolidation of inputs to draft quarterly risk management risk reports.
