RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON ADVERT
Suitable qualified and experienced candidates are hereby invited to serve as a Chairperson of Risk Management Committee of Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality.
TERMS OF OFFICE AND REMUNERATIONS: The appointment will be for three (3) years contract and may be subjected to renewal at the discretion of the Council of Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality. The appointment will be supported by the terms of reference and a contract. Remuneration will be paid at the rate determined by the Council.
REQUIREMENTS: A relevant Bachelors’/Postgraduate degree in Risk Management / Auditing / Accounting (CIA, CA, CRP will be an added advantage). Knowledge and understanding of internal controls, financial management, governance, risk management principles, accounting practices and exposure to risk management legislations and policies. Experience in the following fields: Risk Management and Internal Auditing. Membership of the Institute of Risk Management.
RESPONSIBILITIES: To review and monitor implementation of the Risk Management Framework, Policies and Strategy within the municipality. Advice on integration of risk management into planning, monitoring and reporting processes. Provide advice/ guidance on setting risk of appetite and review risk appetite and tolerance levels. To conduct activities in terms of the Public Sector Risk Management Framework, MFMA, Treasury Regulations, Risk Committee Charter and King III Report on Corporate Governance. To provide proper and timely reports to the Accounting Officer and Audit Committee on the state of Risk Management. To preside over meetings of the Risk Management Committee.
