The KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Board, trading as Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, is a PFMA Schedule 3C public entity established in terms of the KwaZulu-Natal Nature Conservation Management Act (Act No. 9 of 1997).
THE ENTITY:
The entity is responsible for the management of nature conservation within the Province of KwaZulu-Natal including protected areas as well as the development and promotion of ecotourism and facilities within the protected areas. Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife wishes to appoint a suitable candidate for the position of Senior Manager human Resources Practices
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To ensure human resource practices are strategically aligned to support a healthy, competent and performance-driven workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Human Resources Management/ Relevant Equivalent qualification is mandatory
· Post graduate degree in Human Resource Management/ Relevant Equivalent is desirable
· Valid code EB drivers’ licence
EXPERIENCE
· 5 - 8 year’s Management experience in Human Resources Management is mandatory

Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife wishes to appoint a suitable candidate for the position of General Manager Infrastructure, Partnerships & Project Management
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To strategically manage infrastructure and maintenance portfolios, mobilise funding, and package projects in accordance with PFMA principles, enabling sustainable infrastructure that supports biodiversity conservation and service delivery objectives.
Qualifications
· An NQF8 qualification in Built Environment or Business Administration or equivalent is mandatory
· A Master’s Degree in Built Environment or Business Administration or equivalent will be an advantage
· A valid EB driver’s licence is mandatory
· Professional membership with one of the following bodies is mandatory:
o PMI (SA)
o SACQSP
o ECSA
o SACPCMP
o PMP (International)
EXPERIENCE
· 8 years’ operational and management experience in new and maintenance of infrastructure projects is mandatory
· 10 years’ management experience in Business Management (Public Sector) Programme/Project Management is desirable
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
· Infrastructure Planning and Delivery
Plan, prioritise and deliver infrastructure programmes across roads, buildings, fencing, electrical, mechanical and water systems, ensuring cost-effective, climate-resilient and fit-for-purpose assets that support conservation operations.
· Maintenance and Artisan-Led Implementation
Implement preventative and corrective maintenance programmes, maximising utilisation of internal artisans and technical teams to deliver projects efficiently and reduce reliance on external contractors.
· Resource Mobilisation and Project Packaging
Mobilise financial and technical resources and package bankable infrastructure projects to address backlogs and support long-term sustainability of the conservation estate.
· Governance, Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with PFMA, infrastructure delivery prescripts, OHS and environmental requirements, while strengthening contract management, value for money and infrastructure risk controls.
· Technical Capacity and Workshop Optimisation
Strengthen artisan capacity, tools, workshops and technical systems to improve productivity, skills development and quality of infrastructure delivery within a conservation environment.
