PROVINCIAL SENIOR COMMISSIONER

The Dispute Resolution Department has a vacancy for a Provincial Senior Commissioner.
Purpose: To effectively manage the performance of the CCMA Mpumalanga Province and the development and implementation of the Provincial Operational Plan while meeting national operational efficiencies and complying with the CCMA’s statutory obligations, Strategy, Annual Performance Plan, organizational policies, and standard operating procedures. Serving on various national committees as directed by the National Senior Commissioner: Dispute Resolution/Director to assist with policy development and implementation.
Key Performance Areas:-
- Provision of Provincial Strategic Direction and Leadership
- Management of the Dispute Resolution and Case Management Systems and Functions
- Manage/Oversee the Collective Bargaining Function, consisting of Mediation and Employment Security
- Manage/Oversee the Dispute Prevention and Workplace Outreach Function
- People Management
- Manage Support services
- Reporting
- Provincial Operational Plan
- Financial/Budget management
Key Requirements:
- Unless a candidate can demonstrate suitability through the experience of not less than 5 years in a relevant managerial role, an appropriate Degree is required.
- 8 to 10 years professional / trade union/labour relations/law experience of which 5 years management experience

OFFICER: PLANNING AND PERFORMANCE MONITORING (RE-ADVERTISEMENT)
National Office

The Governance and Strategy Department, in the National Office, has a vacancy for an Officer: Planning and Performance Monitoring.
Purpose: Utilising appropriate strategic management tools, the Officer will assist the Manager: Planning and Performance Monitoring to manage the CCMA’s planning processes, both at a strategic and operational level, ensuring that in the delivery of the CCMA’s vision, mission and mandate, there is in place an approved Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan. Furthermore, the Officer will assist the Manager: Planning and Performance Monitoring to ensure that Departments and Provinces are operating on approved Operational Plans. Moreover, the Officer: Planning and Performance Monitoring is to assist with facilitation of performance information reporting (quarterly and annually) and performance monitoring and evaluation processes of the CCMA, including conducting mid and end-term impact assessments.
Key Performance Areas:-
- Assist with conducting strategic forecasting and situational analysis
- Assist with the development, and implementation of Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan
- Assist with the development of annual operational plan (Departmental and Provincial Operational Plans)
- Assist with organisational performance monitoring and reporting (Strategic and Operational)
- Produce quarterly consolidated/integrated performance reports
- Assist with the production of the annual report
- Budget management
Key Requirements:
- Degree in Public Management, Developmental Studies, Administration, Social Sciences or Economics or Commerce or equivalent qualification (NQF7). Post graduate diploma in the related field (NQF8) will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- A practical knowledge and practical experience in using strategy and performance tools.
- A knowledge of planning and performance monitoring frameworks and guidelines governing the CCMA as a public entity.
- Good understanding of legislation and policies applicable to the CCMA as a public entity.
- Demonstration of the ability to manage big projects.

Purpose: To assist the CCMA Commissioners and structures by providing interpreter services to facilitate successful outcomes of CCMA activities.

- Verbal interpretations during hearings.
- Administrative support functions.
Key Requirements:
- Matric Certificate
- Relevant certificate NQF 5 (Communication/Languages)
- One (1) to three (3) years relevant working experience as an Interpreter
- At least three South African languages (Oral/Read/Write)

The Dispute Resolution Department has a vacancy for a Regional Senior Commissioner in the Johannesburg Office.
Purpose
To provide a management support role to the Provincial Senior Commissioner in the Gauteng Province and to assist with the statutory functions of the commission in order to ensure all efficiencies and statutory requirements are always met.
Key Performance Areas: –
- Management of the dispute resolution and case management systems and functions
- Management of/Oversee the Mediation and Collective Bargaining function
- Management of/Oversee the dispute management and prevention function
- Monitor Conciliation/ Arbitration hearings
- Management of Commissioners
- Management of Reviews, Rescissions, and Enforcements

Key Requirements:
