ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT 
DEPARTMENT: Group Risk and Assurance Services (GRAS) 
BRANCH: Strategic Management Services (SMS) 
DESIGNATION: Administration Assistant 
REMUNERATION: R16 427,66 pm (basic salary, excluding benefits) 
LOCATION: SAPPI Building, Braamfontein 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
• Grade 12 plus a Certificate in Human Resources/Administration or related discipline at NQF level 5); 
• 1 – 2 years’ relevant experience in Human Resources/Administration. 
 
Primary Function:
Provide efficient administrative support services in relation to Office Administration, Programme administration and coordination of functionality within Strategic Management Services Unit towards the attainment of unit objectives. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Assist and provide administration management for Strategic management Services;
• Coordinate procedural requirements associated with personnel development initiatives; 
• Render operational support to the SMS Unit; 
• Render leave management administrative support to the SMS Unit; 
• Assist with the implementation of procedures and systems associated with controlling document flow and quality system/statutory and audit requirements regulating recordkeeping; 
• General support functions related to attendance to specific sequences associated with the notification, arrangement and provision of support in respect of departmental meetings. 
 
Leading Competencies: 
• Computer literacy including MS Office Applications; 
• Good communication, coordinating skills; 
• High level of confidentiality and organisational skills; 
• Time Management, working independently, under pressure and ability to prioritise.

Minimum Requirements: 
• Grade 12 plus Executive Secretary/Personal Assistant Diploma; 
• 1 – 3 years’ experience operating at executive secretarial or administrative level. 
 
Primary Function:
Perform executive secretarial and administrative services to the Unit Head: Group Compliance and Assurance Services. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Diary management; 
• Meeting administration and management; 
• Office administration; 
• Travel arrangements; 
• Management of mails and correspondence; 
• Management of office payments;

DESIGNATION: Specialist: Risk Control & Loss Assessment 
REMUNERATION: R42 403,58 pm (basic salary, excluding benefits) 
LOCATION: SAPPI Building, Braamfontein 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
• Grade 12 plus Degree preferably in Fire/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering (NQF level 7); 
• Certificate in SAMTRAC (NOSA), Advanced Fire Prevention (FPASA) and Fire Risk Assessment and Prevention Strategies (FPASA) will be an added advantage; 
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in Risk Control (Physical and Post Loss Assessments) and experience with Insurance; 
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license. 
 
Primary Function:
Implement and maintain integrated physical risk, loss assessment, business continuity management and risk management activities within Core Departments and Entities. Provide engineering support and risk evaluation services to assist the City in the risk improvement process by conducting risk control assessment which covers Occupational Health and Safety, Risk Management programs, Security, Fleet Management and Fire Risk Controls. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Perform activities according to risk control policies and procedures; 
• Records management in compliance with the City’s policies; 
• Establish and maintain stakeholder relations; 
• Alignment and operationalization of Risk Management Plan.
