REGIONAL SERVICES MANAGER 
PERMANENT POSITION 
DEPARTMENT: Community Development 
BRANCH: Library and Information Service 
DESIGNATION: Regional Services Manager 
REMUNERATION: R593 250,39 pa (all-inclusive cost to company) 
LOCATION: Various Regions 
 
Minimum Requirements: 
• 4-year Tertiary qualification – BBibl (NQF level 7); 
• 5 years’ relevant experience of which 3 years on supervisory/operational management level; 
• Must have a valid driver’s license; and 
• Computer literacy, financial, communication (verbal and written) skills required. 
 
Primary Function:
Manage and control the provision of Library and Information Services in a number of Community Branch; Regional and Special Libraries in Johannesburg. Service the population of the City by providing for knowledge, education, information, literacy and recreational needs of the community in accordance with Library policies and procedures. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
• Supervise the operation of individual libraries. 
• Manage and control a cost-effective operation of individual libraries. 
• Manage and control the finances of libraries. 
• Manage the Human resources of the libraries. 
• Manage and promote image and use of libraries. 
• Manage the maintenance of the physical facilities and assets of the libraries. 
• Coordinate, manage and monitor all administration in the day to day running of LIS facilities.
