Branch: Office of the Chief Whip of Council
Designation: Administrator X 2
Salary: R16 020.79 pm (basic salary excluding benefits)
Appointment Requirements:
• Grade 12/NQF level 4 or any equivalent qualification;
• At least two (2) years’ experience in an office environment;
• Experience in working with diverse groupings;
• Understanding of Government Function and Procedures;
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles;
• Office administration procedures and coordination; and
• Computer literacy (MS Office) and Microsoft Outlook; Communication (verbal and written) and report writing skills required;
Primary Function: Provide administrative support services to the Office of the Chief Whip of Council. Coordinate and attend to the implementation of procedures, applications, systems and controls to facilitate and support recording, updating, circulation and maintenance of deviations and operational information and associated activities of this functionality. Coordinate all logistical arrangements related to meetings and Councillors’ Briefing Sessions. Ensure that all supply levels of office equipment and beverages are maintained.
Key Performance Areas: Coordinate the Unit’s administrative activities in an effective, up to date and accurate manner; Perform administrative and clerical support to the Department; Serve as coordinator of the office of the Chief Whips Information, reporting and communication strategies and activities. Provide and internal communication function for the Office of the Chief Whip. Assist the reporting functions of the office of the Chief Whip.

Branch: Office of the Chief Whip of Council – ANC Party Caucus Support
Designation: Assistant Director: Administration Support
Salary Range: R778 320.65 (all-inclusive cost to company)
Appointment Requirements:
• Degree in Public Administration or related tertiary qualification in the Social Sciences or Humanities at (NQF Level 7);
• Six (6) –eight (8) years’ experience operation in an administrative and political environment with at least one (1) years in Local Government.
• Three (3) years should be at managerial level.
• Understanding of Public Policy, Political Administration and dynamics of political party
• Computer literacy (MS Office) applications (especially) MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and
• Good communication, presentation; editing; coordinating; presentation; project management; time management, report writing and analytical skills.
Primary function: Provide administrative and operational direction. Management and oversight of the ANC Caucus Support Office as well as direct and manage operational and administrative support to the ANC Caucus Leadership and Caucus.
Key Performance Areas: Strategic administrative support to Caucus. Provide Strategic operational support to the Caucus. Manage staff of the unit to achieve set objectives. Manage the conceptualization of Caucus projects and events. Manage Caucus budget allocated by Council and Office Capex.

Designation: Media Liaison Officer
Annual Total Rem Package: R471 999.95 (all-inclusive cost to company)
Appointment Requirements:
• Matric Certificate plus Diploma in Media Studies or Communications and Marketing or Journalism, Public Relations Management or similar (NQF level 6); OR
• Suitably qualified candidates as defined by Section 20(3) of the EE Act will be considered;
• Two (2) years’ relevant experience in writing speeches and media statements in a political or journalism environment
• Knowledge of media functions and concepts;
• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Word and Excel)
Primary Function: Provide communication and media support to the Office of the ANC Caucus – ANC Councillors.
Key Performance Areas: Provide administrative functions support. Understand the party’s medium and long terms strategic and be able to articulate them to all caucus members. Ensure that an effective and sufficient support base for the smooth running of the Media functions of the Office.
