SPECIALIST: TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

DESIGNATION: Specialist: Transport Infrastructure Development 
REMUNERATION: R35 043.67 pm (basic salary, excluding benefits)

Minimum Requirements: 
  • Grade 12/NQF level 4 plus; 
  • A relevant BEng or BSc (Eng) Engineering degree and eligibility for registration as Pr Eng (NQF level 7); 
  • 5 – 8 Years of relevant experience; 
  • Valid driver's license. 
 
Primary Function:
To provide specialist technical expertise in the planning, design, implementation, and monitoring of core transport infrastructure projects. Ensure that infrastructure initiatives are aligned with the City’s strategic transport objectives and comply with engineering standards, regulatory frameworks and sustainability principles. 
 
Key Performance Areas: 
  • Execute the project planning process to inform the Subsection operational planning process; 
  • Translate planning outcome into detailed engineering solutions; 
  • Execute process optimisation and efficiency-related procedures for continuous improvement of infrastructure development projects; 
  • Provide technical advisory and support services; 
  • Ensure effective project management of all infrastructure development-related projects; 
  • Ensure effective project monitoring and control; 
  • Execute specific procedures to ensure effective governance and risk management for infrastructure development; 
  • Execute activities to ensure effective stakeholder relations communication; 
  • Perform specific administrative and reporting tasks associated with the infrastructure development projects;
