Qualification in Education & Training

  • Experience in Blended learning, i.e., innovative teaching practices with the use of educational technology.

  • Computer Practice N4 – N6
  • Information Processing N4 – N6
  • Office Data Processing L2 -L4
  • Life Orientation (Computer) L2-L4

Requirements
1. At least a relevant recognized three-year qualification (REQV13) in Programming.
2. Qualification in Education
3. Minimum two years teaching experience
4. Qualified to lecture subjects in the relevant program
5. Experience in Blended learning, i.e. innovative teaching practices with the use of educational technology.
6. Registered with SACE
7. Ability to assess and moderate
8. Computer literacy in Ms Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
9. Valid driver’s license (compulsory)
10. Two years Programming experience
 
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for lecturing the subjects Fundamentals L2 – L4 in NC(V) Programs.
2. Management of E-learning activities across campuses, including curriculum support and lecturer development.
3. Responsible for the planning and implementation of the academic programme structure through teaching and practical learning.
4. Support staff with regards to e-learning on campuses.
5. Responsible for the offering and assessment of subjects/unit standards as allocated according to the academic planning.
6. Responsible for the planning and execution of the academic activities as well as practical training that must be incorporated in the programme structure and subject syllabi.
7. Responsible for quality education so that the student receives relevant training according to DHET requirements and the needs of the community and industry.
8. Responsible for the assessment and moderation of subjects.
9. Responsible for specific administrative related tasks.
10. General tasks in support of academic and campus related matters pertaining to E-Learning subjects, e.g Invigilation, Marking & Moderating
11. Responsible to co-ordinate the E-Learning activities on campuses.

2. Management of programme related activities across campus, including curriculum support and lecturer development.
3. Responsible for the planning and implementation of the academic programme structure through teaching and practical learning.
4. Management and support of staff with regards to academic delivery within their programme across campuses.
5. Responsible for student related matters within their programme on their site of delivery (campus).
6. Responsible for the offering and assessment of subjects/unit standards as allocated according to the academic planning.
7. Responsible for the planning and execution of the academic activities as well as practical training that must be incorporated in the programme structure and subject syllabi.
8. Responsible for quality education so that the student receives relevant training according to DHET requirements and the needs of the community and industry.

Requirements
1. Relevant 3-year post-matric / tertiary qualification in an engineering-related field of specialization/profession.
2. Qualified to lecture in the Automotive / Welder / Electrical field
3. Recognized qualification in Education.
4. Trade-tested artisan qualification (red seal)
5. 3 years of educational experience of which at least two years in Artisan development in COS, OC subject area.
6. Experience as a regional/national moderator in engineering related field
7. Ability to assess and moderate
8. SACE registration
9. Computer literacy in MS Office
10. A valid driver’s license
11. Good leading and organizing skills
12. Good communication skills (verbal and written)
13. Decision-making and problem-solving skills
 
Responsibilities
1. Provide a support function to the office of the Deputy Principal: Academic Services with weekly Head Office based meetings as well as support visits to campuses.
2. Responsible for lecturing any of the following subjects in: NC(V) and Report 191 (Engineering / Cos or OC)
3. To develop and oversee the artisan development strategy of the college.
4. To schedule and implement the artisan development capacity-building processes.
5. To coordinate and implement the external moderation and performance monitoring of all trade test centres.
6. To oversee and implement the budget for artisan development and trade test centres.
7. To ensure that the national artisan development and Boland College policies, guidelines and procedures are developed, implemented, monitored, and evaluated.
8. Responsible for the planning and implementation of the academic programme structure through teaching and practical learning.
9. Oversee all human, financial, and other resources in the unit.

2. Engineering related industry work experience
3. Teaching or Training experience in an industrial environment / TVET College would be an added advantage
