Requirements

  1. Early Childhood Development (ECD), Educare, Occupational Therapy, Remedial Teaching qualification at NQF level 5
  2. Knowledge of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Sector
  3. Teaching or facilitation experience relevant to Early Childhood Development (ECD) or Foundation Phase
  4. Valid driver’s license

 

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate Knowledge and Practical Modules of the QCTO Occupational Certificate ECD Practitioner
  2. Ability to integrate National Curriculum Framework principles into training delivery
  3. Provide support to students in the knowledge and Practical aspects of the qualification
  4. Set up, monitor, and maintain student portfolios
  5. Conduct Summative Knowledge Assessments
  6. Conduct practical Assessments
  7. Conduct an introductory meeting at each workplace
  8. Conduct all aspects of assessment (e.g. marking and evaluations)
  9. WPBL: Participate in Workplace exposure relevant to the programmes

 

Recommendations

  1. Ability to train the National Curriculum Framework (certified)
  2. Assessor with ETDP SETA
  3. Moderator with ETDP SETA
  4. TVET sector experience
  5. Workplace/ Industry experience
  6. Relevant teaching qualification
  7. Own transport

  5. Valid SACE registration
  6. Proven computer training in MS Office
  7. Good administrative skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for lecturing on the following subjects and/or any other subjects if required:

  • Computerised Financial Systems N4-N6
  • Cost & Management Accounting N5
  • Financial Accounting N4-N5
