What awaits you?
- To assist the team in meeting all quality objectives related to products, processes, and systems.
- Responsible for ensuring that all electrical and mechanical equipment under his/her supervision is properly maintained and remains in optimal working condition.
- Aid the production team in reaching the production targets by promptly addressing breakdowns.
- Diagnosing issues within the integrated IT, Network, and PLC control systems.
- Preventing electrical and mechanical equipment failures through proactive maintenance measures.
- Oversee and manage the execution of all maintenance tasks carried out by the artisans to guarantee timely completion of the work to the specified standards.
- Act as a substitute when the Process Leader is absent.
What should you bring along?
- N6 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical fields.
- Successfully completed a trade test as a Millwright, Mechatronics or Electrician.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in electrical and/or mechanical maintenance within an automated assembly production setting.

TECHNICIAN
What awaits you?
Quality:
- To support the team in achieving all Product, Process and System Quality targets and drive optimisations.
- Ensure problems are contained and not transferred to internal or external customers.
- Ensure all required records and documentation are retained and updated.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
- Responsible for ensuring all equipment is maintained and repaired to the required quality standards.
- Support the production team in achieving the Production volume, by quick response to breakdowns.
- Needs to develop knowledge and skills to ensure good support in all fields of the BIW environment (i.e. electrical and mechanical).
- Ensure all breakdowns are resolved or handed over, any additional time at the applicable wage/overtime rates.
- Support his/her manager and implement measures to achieve Budget, Volume and Equipment Productivity.
- Drive continuous improvement in technical availability.
- Reporting breakdowns in timely manner using specified methods and systems.
- Scope of equipment responsibility, all BIW specific equipment.
- Fault finding on integrated systems.
- Needs to develop advanced skills in assigned technology groups.
- Share knowledge freely with all colleagues to ensure growth in team skills.
- Take ownership for personal / soft skills development.
- Assist management in achieving the Environmental (ISO 14000) targets and conform to all BMW standards and procedures.
- To ensure that all work is performed competently and in accordance with BMW specifications, the OHS Act and ISO 14000.
- To ensure that all equipment and work areas are safe at all times to prevent accidents or injury to personnel.
- Ensure that equipment is maintained in accordance with safety regulations.
- Implementation and testing of new standards to the advantage of the plant.
- Testing of any changes and correct documentation.
- Identifying areas of improvement and implementing improving projects.
- Verbal, telephonic and written communication with production, stores, process maintenance, facilities and contractors.
What should you bring along?
- National Diploma Electrical/ Mechanical or Degree Electrical/ Mechanical.
- Min 3 years related experience in electrical & mechanical maintenance, in an automated production environment
- Exposure to Painted Body department.
- Problem Solving skills.
- High level technical and analytical skills.
- Specialized knowledge and experience on automated systems.
