STORES OFFICER - GRADE F
Based at Nahoon Dam

Minimum Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- 3 Year National Diploma in Inventory and Stores Management or equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
- 2 years previous stores and data processing experience.
- Strong administrative background in order to maintain records and filling system.
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Inventory Coordinator, the appointee will:
- Process GRV, stock issues and other transactions and do all necessary paperwork and administration.
- Capture all stock issues into the computer system in an accurate manner on daily basis.
- GRV all goods received into BAAN system timeously and accurately in such a way that the following procedures by other departments are not delayed.
- Ensure prompt and safe delivery of documents required by finance department to head office.
- Assist customers (external and internal) at the counter to avoid delays.
- Ensure appropriate stock levels and store keeping.
- Maintain clearly demarcated stock, non-stock and picked items areas.
- Review stock levels regularly and prepare stock replenishment advices.
- Assist with regular cycle counting and stock–taking.
- Practice and ensure safe working practices in the allocated Store.
- Assist in taking the necessary ongoing safety measures in the store and participating in the safety programs.
- Carry out reasonable and lawful instructions as given by the line manager/supervisor within the ambit of the position taking into consideration competencies and operational requirements.
Competencies:
- Experience on intergraded stores computer system.
- Computer literacy (MS word & Excel).
- Valid unendorsed drivers licence.
- Valid Forklift licence (3 ton)
- Working knowledge of ERP System (BAAN)

PROCESS CONTROLLER CLASS III
Based at Debe Nek
Operations Division
Salary: R 453,445 - R 584,527 TCTC
Minimum Qualifications:
- NTC III in Water or Wastewater Treatment practice (3 years’ service)
Preferred Qualification:
- Relevant Water Care Diploma as per legal requirement in terms of 2834 of the Water Act of 1956 or Draft Regulation 813
Minimum Experience:
- Class III Process Controller with 3 year relevant experience
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, the appointee will:
- Control the Water Treatment Process and Infrastructure to ensure effective operation of plants, associated system to provide a reliable water supply, to improve the efficiency of plants and equipment and to minimise the cost of production
- Minimise business risk by ensuring that AW meet SANS 241 Quality Water (Treatment) Standards
- Identify and monitor water losses in the plant and network
- Validate that infrastructure, WTW/WWTW and equipment operate to specified standards to meet demands
- Maintain communications with customers and set service levels agreements to maintain adequate service levels
- Operate in compliance with statutory requirements to promote the health of consumers, customers and operations employees
- Manage financial resources to maximise capital productivity, minimise operating costs and provide value for money to the end consumer
- Maintain and improve motivation and performance of staff to achieve maximum productivity
- Achieve world class Safety, Health and Environmental standards by ensuring full compliance to OHS act and relevant environmental legislation
- Give information to specialist organisations and other authorities to promote vision and mission of Amatola Water
- Provide the supervisor with consistent feedback and information on any problems, value add or queries related to chemicals, process materials, services etc. to be discussed with stakeholders/suppliers/customers

Competencies:
- Good Industrial Relations skills
- Computer Literacy – spreadsheets, word processing
- Good knowledge of OHS Act and safety management

- Good technical knowledge of chemicals, water quality instruments, goods handling, safety awareness
- Good understanding of water balancing
- Basic understanding of budgets and cost control

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT: AFS PREPARATION AND AUDIT COORDINATION
12 months fixed term contract

Minimum Qualifications:
- B. Com Honours with Accounting
Minimum Experience:
- 5 years Financial Accounting experience in compilation of GRAP Annual Financial Statements
- Proven knowledge of CASEWARE AFS package
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the CFO, the appointee will:
- Project management of all service providers appointed for the preparation of Annual Financial Statements
- Provide support to year end process and clearing of exception in Trial Balance
- GL and TB management and analysis monthly and quarterly.
- Advise and reconcile exceptions monthly and prepare required journals
- Compile Mid-Year and Annual Financial Statements for Amatola Water through CaseWare
- Review accounting policies for GRAP Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and analysis
- Develop the Audit File for Amatola Water Annual Financial Statements
- Co-ordinate all Auditor General Requests and submissions to the auditors

- Attend to all Communication of audit findings from Auditor General and ensure that responses are on time
- Review all the responses to Communication of audit findings and advise finding owners if there are gaps
- Develop and monitor Audit Implementation Plan and ensure that all identified issues are addressed
