​IT ADMIN CLERK

Based at Head Office
Corporate Services Division
Salary: R434,245 (per annum inclusive of benefits)
 
Minimum Qualifications:
• Diploma in IT Support Services
 
Minimum Experience:
• 3 years’ experience of Help Desk Co-ordinator
• Experience in Intermediate Ms Office and Desktop Support
 
Added advantage
• Valid Driver’s Licence
 
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the ICT OPS Specialist, the appointee will:
• Operates helpdesk and call management system:
• Man the IT helpdesk telephone, logging calls and notifying relevant technicians
• Control the internal Help desk by logging all faults in accordance with the IT department’s SLA
• Department’s SLA
• Compile and distribute relevant reports e.g. call log reports
• Follow-up with technicians on urgent and overdue calls
• Support end-user callers on standard office products
• Control and monitor Amatola Water IT Assets and software:
• Control the booking in and out of pooled IT resources
• Maintain register of users, allocated hardware, non-standard software and other allocated resources
• Performs general IT Administration:
• Obtain initial quotations with specifications and forward to SCM as required for various hardware and software
• Follow-up with suppliers to ensure the timeous delivery of IT hardware and software
• Assist with manuals and Integrated Management System
• Coordinates in house training
• Report on activities and performance
 
Competencies:
• Strong – Communication skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Proactive approach to IT solutions
• Both telephonic and interactive end-user support experience

INVENTORY COORDINATOR
Based at Nahoon Dam
Finance/ Supply Chain Management (Inventory Management and Disposal) Division
Salary: R589,320 (per annum inclusive of benefits)
 
Minimum Qualifications:
• Grade 12- and 3-year National Diploma in Inventory and Stores Management or equivalent
 
Minimum Experience:
• 3 years’ experience in inventory and stores management
• Proven experience regarding supervision and coordination of staff
 
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Inventory Specialist, the appointee will:
• Oversee accurate receipt, proper storing of stock in the stores area to ensure stock
• Availability when stock requirement arises
• Monitor that issuing and purchasing of stock is carried out within the stipulated time frames
• Perform continuous stock cycle counts and periodic stocktaking to ensure that levels are
• Correct and economical and minimise stock losses.
• Coordination of all items in standard format on ERP system
• Compile and maintain a catalogue for all coordinated items
• Coordinate the activities of stores personnel and ensuring that jobs are carried out as laid down in their job descriptions
• Provide advice and direction on daily operational duties
• Monitor and ensure that health and safety procedures are adhered to in the stores
• Report on stock levels
• Report on outstanding orders and expediting of orders
• Report on obsolete items
• Report of leave taken by staff
 
Other requirements:
• Strong administrative background to maintain records and filling system
• Sound Knowledge of any ERP system
• Computer literacy
