Job description
Preventive Maintenance (ATNS CNS Equipment and services): Perform all relevant maintenance activities on equipment and systems as per the relevant LSP, station instructions and equipment manufacturer recommendations. Ensure that maintenance to buildings at the sites, the site itself such as roads, grass cutting, fencing, antenna masts, terrestrial communications and power from point of supply is maintained to ATNS standards. Compliance to SLA’s Ensure that the relevant equipment competences are attained as per station requirements and the appropriate Skills Matrix grading.
Corrective Maintenance (ATNS CNS Equipment and services): Perform “I” Level corrective fault diagnosis down to module (LRU) level. Perform “I” Level corrective maintenance through module (LRU) replacement. Perform “O” Level restoration of service by reconfiguration and/or changeover by means of supervisor positions and remote control, monitoring and maintenance systems. (RCMMS) Perform “D” Level corrective maintenance where applicable as per ATNS support policy. Compliance within SLA’s.
System Performance Analysis: “O” Level system performance and analysis by means of supervisor positions and remote control, monitoring and maintenance systems (RCMMS). ”I” Level system performance and analysis through the use of specialized test, monitoring and B.I.T.E equipment. Performance analysis using the relevant MMIS and other Computer Based Maintenance Management Systems (CBMMS). Work within the SLA framework.
Maintenance Support: Draft useful, informative and concise technical reports on systems and equipment as requested and proactively when the need arises. Capture all relevant data on the CBMMS. Compliance with RT procedures. Compliance with Airport Regulations. Understand the impact of equipment availability on the national ATM service delivery.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with ATNS ISO 9002 procedures. Ensure compliance with SACAA and ICAO recommendations.
Safety: Comply with the ATNS OH&S plan.
Customer Related Communications: Liaison with ATC and Peers. External Client liaison
Training: Become proficient in the “O” level support of all Communications, Navigation and Surveillance systems and Equipment at your Centre. Become proficient in the “O” level support of all Support systems and equipment at your Centre, which will include UPS’s, Air-conditioning, Stand-by power, Fire protection and Alarm systems where required as per the SSI. Develop an understanding of and become proficient in RCMMS methods for the effective evaluation of system and equipment performance. Become proficient in the use of specialized test, monitoring and B.I.T.E equipment. Develop an understanding of testing methods for the effective evaluation of system and equipment performance. Aeronautical Charting - Produce detailed Aeronautical Charts accompanied by tabulation pages, textual descriptions, and supplementary information for submission to the SACAA or external clients. Produce charts for publication in accordance with ICAO SARPS (Standards and Recommended Practices) to ensure the safe operation of aircraft. Design and maintain charts for Instrument Approach Flight Procedures, SID, STAR, Enroute and Aerodromes for the Integrated Aeronautical Information Package as per ICAO Annex 4, Annex 15, including ICAO DOC 8168 Vol II and ICAO DOC 9906 criteria. Design and maintain Radar Terrain Charts. Share Aeronautical Charts Data in AIXM format. Maintain RSA Instrument Flight Procedure, SID, STAR and Enroute and Aerodromes charts on the Cartography Database. Maintain current RSA published Topographical/Aeronautical Maps database as per AP020. Liaise and consult with clients regarding the development of aeronautical charts. Geographic Information Systems and Terrain data - Compile maps for internal and external clients. Perform DTM acquisition and request accuracy/validity certificate from service providers. Analyze radar terrain chart sectors. Governance, Compliance, and General duties - Ensure maintenance of Records Management of the Charting Office and all documents as per ISO, legislative, and ATNS filing system requirements. Maintain relevant QA standards in compliance with ISO 9001/2000 Continually update and develop the Aeronautical Cartography Manual of Standards in line with the ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS) Provide input into budgeting, training and human resources requirements. Conduct Centralised Aeronautical Database charting training for identified personnel and clients.Assist in any additional tasks as may be required from time to time within the area of responsibility.
Minimum requirements

Minimum Qualifications
- Air Traffic Control qualification or engineering qualification.
- SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certificate (advantageous).
- ISO 14001:2105 and/or ISO 45001:2018 certificate and related auditing certification (advantageous).
- Aviation Safety Management System Course (advantageous).
Minimum Experience
- Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in air traffic management or engineering experience.
- Experience/knowledge in implementing Environmental Management System implementation (ISO 14001:2015)/Occupational Health and Safety (45001:2018) and or Safety Management System (SMS).
- Understanding of teh OHS, Aviation and Environmental compliance requirements.
Advantageous
- SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certificate.

- SACPCMP registered.

Introduction
To provide administrative support to the process of enrolling and managing ATNS students’ documents and data for the duration of their studies.
Job description
Administrative Support. Advise prospective students on ATNS courses and programmes as well as other services offered and follow up on enquires to secure registration. Respond to enquiries about learning courses and send course information packs to prospective students via post and email. Process student enrolments and monitor overall student progress for learning courses. Process all related information and file results sheets, send letters to students and update the database. Administer student completions which include recording the results on the database, checking payments, completing all relevant forms, issuing Certificates and/or badges to students and updating the ATNS management report. Liaise with the primary service provider regarding training logistics and arrangements. Assist in the preparation of agendas, venues, documents, etc. for meetings. Maintain and update manual and computerised records of students, spread sheets, reports, databases, course information and other relevant systems to ensure that all records are kept up to date. Assist with the production and uploading of study and course materials in collaboration with staff members in the Learning Team to ensure a high level of consistency and quality is maintained. Provide any other duties as reasonably required by the Senior Specialist: Capacity Development.
Quality Management System. Maintain all department QMS procedures, directives and instructions, ensuring the ongoing availability and currency thereof on the ATNS share-point system. Ensure up to date notification of changes to filing indices. Maintain the ISO filing system of the department and inform the Senior Specialist: Capacity Development of any changes.
Stakeholder Relations Management - Establish good working relationships with students. Establish and maintain good working relationships with various internal. departments, including Finance, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Training Academy, Air Traffic Services, IT, and others. Establish sound relations with external service providers
Minimum requirements
Formal Qualifications
• National Diploma in HR / Admin or other related qualification
• B-degree in HR Management or any of the HR disciplines will be an advantage
Experience
• At least 2 years administrative experience in human resources development and leadership development programs
