JOB PURPOSE
To manage and administer the AgriSETA Rural Development projects
ROLE CONTEXT
A deep understanding of the system of Rural Development and Land Reform in South Africa, and its objective, isessential in this role.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA: PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS / ACTIONS: • Develop tools to evaluate Rural Development projects for possible inclusion in the AgriSETA initiative
• Facilitate beneficiaries and their structures to assist in the development of long-term interventions
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to provide ongoing guidance and support
• Assist in resolving structure and learning problems
• Manage the Rural Development project and its finances
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA: REPORTING
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS / ACTIONS: • Compile monthly reports for management and stakeholders regarding current status of programmes.
• Compile National Skills Fund (NSF) reports and other partner reports
• Report on claiming process
KEY PERFORMANCE AREA: STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS / ACTIONS: • Work in close collaboration with the Office of the Commissioner for the Restitution of Land Rights, Rural Development, and other structures.
• Act as an advisor to stakeholders regarding the development of appropriate training programmes for developing farmers
• Work closely with Community Property Associations AD HOC
• Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS
• Internal: All internal divisions
• External: Provider and Sponsor organisations
MININUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Rural Development or equivalent NQF 7
• Post-graduate qualification would be an added advantage
• Extensive knowledge of the theory and principles of Land Reform
• Public sector experience

ASSISTANT MANAGER: ACCREDITATION

Division: Education and Training Quality Assurance
Office location: Head office, Pretoria – Arcadia
Job purpose
Assist in administration and managing of AgriSETAs Accreditation of Training Institutions
Role context
• The accreditation process requires an organizational understanding and good understanding of the quality of delivery required from accredited service providers
• Manage internal and external stakeholders.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Key performance area: Accreditation Management
Functional outputs / Actions:
• Liaise with key and relevant stakeholders
• Responsible for managing administration of accreditation records
• Oversee compliance to the accreditation process in line with the policy
• Responsible for ensuring there are sufficient and appropriate applications
• Ensuring the evaluation of submitted documents received from service providers in terms of the accreditation and programme approval
• Review all documentation relating to accreditation
• Completes accreditation process and ensure details of accredited service provides are captured in the system.
• Ensuring that all reports are in place before site visits
Key performance area: Stakeholder Management
Functional outputs / Actions:
• Attend to Service Provider queries
• Responsible for building stakeholder capacity through information sessions and workshops
• Liaise with key and relevant stakeholders
• Respond to client visits and/or other queries relating to accreditation and compliance issues
• Promote the importance of accredited training to stakeholders and other structures
• Advise stakeholders regarding the development of appropriate Quality Management System (QMS) and Learning Material
• Liaise with other SETA’s regarding programme approvals
Key performance area: Site Visits
Functional outputs / Actions:
• Plan and execute accreditation site visits
• Ensures all panel members receive all the relevant documentation and are thoroughly briefed
• Compile post evaluation reports for Service Providers who do not meet the accreditation criteria and recommends remedial action to fulfil the requirements
• Compile recommendation reports for successful providers
• Ensure feedback from site visits are entered on the M.I.S. system
• Ensure accreditation letters/certificates are printed and distributed

• Internal Departments: All internal AgriSETA departments
• External: AgriSETA stakeholders
Ad Hoc
Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications and experience
• National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Education and Training or any other related qualification.
• Other related qualifications will be an added advantage
• 5 years related work experience with a minimum of 3 years work experience in Education and Training Quality Assurance
• South African driver’s license
