SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST – Re-Advert
(Salary: R586 283 – R879 422 p.a) all-inclusive remuneration package
Key Performance Areas:
Business Analysis:
Oversees business simulations, information analysis and modelling,
Oversees the overall design, development, implementation, integration and testing of the Information,
Management System capabilities (i.e. ERP, Business Analytics / Power BI, etc.),
Responsible for all modelling processes (processes and data),

Requirements:
Degree / Diploma in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management or other relevant discipline,
5 years working knowledge of ERP Technologies e.g. Microsoft, SAGE, etc.
A formal Business Analysis qualifications or Certification will be an advantage,
Extensive proven experience as a business analyst,
Familiarity with BI Technologies e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI,

Perform statistical analysis and interpretation of PT data from participating laboratories, and determine action criteria in collaboration with Heads of Laboratories and authorise PT reports,
Keep all records of reagents produced, PTs participation and PTs results and reports and any other related information,
Review and authorise all Quality Assurance (QA) documents pertaining to the PTs and generate some, in collaboration with quality officers in the Diagnostic Services Programme,
Assist with all veterinary work within the Diagnostic Services Programme when needed,
Ensure compliance with animal health and welfare requirements; be part of the animal ethics committee (AEC) and draft and review applications; be involved in addressing and resolving matters raised by the AEC,
Build capacity through training others e.g. technicians, veterinarians, researchers, students etc,
Mentor students to acquire higher degree qualifications,
Identify research projects especially related to diagnostics; seek collaborations; source funding; execute research work; present research findings at scientific gatherings; publish research findings; support other people’s research.
Requirements:
BVSc/BVMCh /BVM Veterinary degree,
MSc/PhD would be an advantage,
5 years post MSc experience or postdoctoral, research experience,
An ability to execute and participate in multidisciplinary research projects,
Evidence of sourcing or obtaining research funds will be an advantage,
Excellent communication skills written and verbal,
Must be able to work independently and reliable,
Evidence of student training,

Key Performance Areas:
Provide strategic leadership and management of the ARC Institute for Agricultural Engineering,
Establish and lead research program within the areas of interest and expertise in engineering as applied to agricultural problems,
Lead the implementation of advanced engineering technologies,
