Introduction
The position of Business Data Steward is vacant. The Business Data Steward will report directly to the Senior Manager: Data Analytics and forms part of the Research and Development Division. The position is based at Head Office in Pretoria.
An annual total cost to company package will apply, between R 954,930 and R1,193,734 based on the Scheme’s Remuneration Policy and dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Business Data Steward will be required to perform the following functions within the Research and Development Division under the supervision of the Senior Manager: Data Analytics through the implementation of the following:
- Partner with business data owners to drive adoption of data governance best practices and embed a culture of data centricity across day-to-day processes
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the Scheme’s data in line with the Data Management and Analytics Strategy
- Identify, document and implement data requirements and specifications; collaborate with ICT on implementation
- Develop and implement procedures for effective data management, including data quality, metadata, reference and master data
- Establish and manage processes for data issues and queries management in line with data quality standards and guidelines
- Ensure data security and compliance with applicable policies, POPIA and regulations; manage data requests in line with data sharing SOPs
- Conduct regular data profiling, audits and lineage assessments to identify quality gaps; monitor Data Quality KPIs (completeness, uniqueness, timeliness, validity) and drive remediation with owners
- Develop monitoring reports and dashboards to track the implementation and effectiveness of data management recommendations
- Develop and maintain technical guidelines, SOPs and documentation for data governance, analytics and utilisation
- Consult with technical, operational and coding stakeholders to enhance data availability, quality, usage tools and methodologies
- Provide training, support and guidance to business data owners and relevant staff on data governance policies, procedures and best practice
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with multidisciplinary teams including business data owners and ICT; facilitate operational SLAs with internal and
- external stakeholders
- Participate in data management forums and committees to drive continuous data governance efficacy
- Manage data governance processes for internal and external research projects to ensure compliance with policies and regulations
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification requirements are:
- Minimum qualification: Degree – Business Analysis, Data Management, Economics, Accounting, Operations, Administration, Information Systems or Engineering
- Preferred Qualification: Business Analysis or Data Management certification, or an Honours degree in the above fields
- At least 5 years’ experience in business analysis, data management or analytics in the financial services industry
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience as a Data Management Analyst, Governance Analyst, Data Steward or similar role
- At least 2 years’ experience in the Medical Scheme industry will be an added advantage Experience with SQL, Power BI and QlikView or Tableau will be an added advantage
- Proficiency with data profiling, data lineage and metadata management tools.

BOARD SECRETARIAT AND RECORDS ADMINISTRATOR - FTC

The position of Board Secretariat and Records Administrator is vacant. The Board Secretariat and Records Administrator will report directly to the Senior Manager: Governance and Secretariat Services and form part of the Company Secretary and Legal Services Division. The position is based in the Pretoria Head Office.
An annual total cost to company package will apply, R 48 017.00 based on the Scheme’s Remuneration Policy and dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.
Contract Period - Fixed Term Contract - 6 Months

Duties & Responsibilities
The Board Secretariat and Records Administrator will provide support to the Seniot Manager: Governance and Secretariat Services through the implementation of the following Key Performance areas ( KPAs):
- Ensure Compliance and manage/maintain CSLC Records (Electronic (SharePoint), Strong Room)
- Monitor SharePoint and Outlook to ensure proper Version Control
- Governance and Legal Policies Management and Compliance
- Assist with BOT/ICM/EXCO Relationship by Initiative/Objective Administrative Matters
- Planning and coordination: Annual Strategic Planning Meeting
- Planning and coordination: Divisional (Governance and Legal) Annual and Midterm Operational Planning Meetings
- Assist/Stand-In Governance Administrator (GA) and board Secretariat Administrator (BSA) on administrative support matters
- Manage relevant divisional budget line items in line with approved budget allocations.
- Management of AX – Procurement / Outliers / Emergencies / Ad Hoc
- Development of Memo’s and Reports
- Develop memorandums (deviation memos etc.) for submission to PO/COO
- Assist/Attend to audit-related work
- Minister of Public Service and Administration (MPSA) Visits
- Support DPSA Budget Speech Vote
- Public Services Bargaining Council (PSCBC) Matters
- Assist with Project and Events Management of Annual Presidential Golf Challenge (PGC); Annual GEMS Stakeholder Golf Day Coordination ; Annual GEMS Stakeholder Symposium Coordination; Annual Parliament / Budget Speech Votes; Stakeholder/Makgotla Coordination ; Service Provider Networks (SPN) Site Visits, and any Other emerging Event requiring BOT/ICM
Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualification requirements are:
- Minimum 3-year Diploma / Degree
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in a corporate governance or company secretariat capacity
