EDUCATION LABOUR RELATIONS COUNCIL (ELRC) The Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) is a statutory council, established in terms of Section 37 of the Labour Relations Act, No 66 of 1995 as amended. It operates in the Public Education Sector, providing services to the Department of Basic Education, Trade Unions and educators in the interest of South African Public. The ELRC’s primary objective is to• Promote and maintain labour peace in education. Prevent and resolve labour disputes in education • Promote collective bargaining in relation to matters of mutual interest. The Education Labour Relations Council (ELRC) wishes to fill the vacancy of: PROVINCIAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR Based in North West Province All inclusive remuneration package of R351 280 per annum (Non-Negotiable) Our benefits include: A housing allowance, provident fund, medical aid (this benefit is payable if an employee belongs to a registered medical aid) and a service bonus (Grade BU) Ref. ELRC/POA NW REQUIREMENTS OF THE POST: A 3-year Degree/ National Diploma in Administration/ Human Resources/ Education with 3-5 years general administration experience. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Reception • Attend to incoming/outgoing mail – maintain a register. • Maintain visitors register. • Maintain staffing register. • Attend and assist with queries/ information as required. Office Administration • Attend to filing. • Updating the filing of Provincial Chambers documentation. • Label assets and capture details on excel. • Draw up asset registers for each room and make it available in the room (on the wall) where assets are housed. • Maintain asset and inventory register. • Capture counter readings for photocopies against cost centre. • Assess and update filling system. • Check telephone account. • Stock check and place order for consumables. • Assist Provincial Manager with scheduling meetings/ frequency for the year. • Attend to archive filling and disposal of old document. • Check/ reconcile/file petty cash vouchers. • Prepare documents (photocopy requisitions, vouchers, and receipts) for petty cash advance. Meeting Support • Send out minutes to Committee members • Liaise with Committee members, for information/ documents, if necessary, for items to include in the agenda. • Schedule and notify Committee members of any special/urgent meeting and perform committee work timeously. The successful candidate will be required to enter into a Performance Contract with the Provincial Manager: CBS on an annual basis.
