Position Purpose
The purpose of apprenticeship is to prepare apprentices to operate independently and productively in preparation for being a competent qualified artisan. Position Outputs
Expected outcome is the ability to plan and prepare work site, equipment, tools, consumables and materials for trade related activities and operations, use hand, power and measuring tools, install, assemble, fit, connect electrical equipment and control systems. Test, inspect, commission, maintain and repair electrical equipment, control systems, installations, assemblies etc.
Qualifications and Experience
Completed either of the following: N2 -N6 Certificate with the following subjects: relevant Trade Theory, Engineering Science, Mathematics and any other relevant subject. OR NCV Level 4 certificate with the relevant trade theory, Mathematics, and vocational subjects, OR Technical grade 12: Mathematics , Physical Science, and relevant trade theory. Must have passed Mathematics, with 50% and above. Must not have a trade certificate (Red Seal). Attach all qualifications and academic record (relevant to the position). Age between 18 and 30. Must be a South African Citizen.

This programme is designed to enhance participants' employability by offering hands-on training, mentorship, and exposure to industry-specific tasks. The WIL trainee programme is conducted over a period of 24 months.
Position Outputs
Perform routine maintenance and repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations. Maintain tools and equipment in good condition. Document work performed and report to supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
Diesel Mechanic Trade tested within the past 4 years • Youth between 18 and 35 years • Less than 1 year experience• Must be South African Citizen
