To produce and provide graphic elements for clients internal and external for shows and productions with concepts, time frames, and deliverables for the purposes of playout.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating and Building of graphic templates for the specific progammes or productions for CG Playout.
• Close working relationships with internal and external clients, in order to optimally deliver on client needs and requirements.
• Ability to perform all operations on playout system for broadcast.
• Ability to prepare, capture data or captions and set up graphic elements as per clients instructions.
• Ability to ensure that there are few or no comebacks.
• Advise and consult with internal and external clients, on the optimal utilization of graphics, animations, costs and alternatives.
• Ensure design, editing and compositing of graphic elements as per customer requirements.
• Checking all sponsorship in accordance with SOP and FCC.
• Provide formal and informal training and support to other artists and designers, in order to ensure capable and competent staff complimentary growth.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and administration accurately for statistical, administrative and financial reconciliation purposes.
• Utilization of all relevant resources, internet, libraries, stock footage etc. in order to  produce optimal quality, innovative outputs for playout.
• Participate in creative inputs to clients in order to create/enhance desired outcomes for playout.
• Ability to ensure technical quality of products to comply with EBU and Broadcasting Standards.
• Collaboration with team to resolve any issues that arise out of work process and to ensure that solutions meet clients requirements.
• Manage the workload of the team and assist where needed.
• Monitor and assess the performance of equipment and technology, in order to ensure timeous maintenance and execution by technical support.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Matric or Grade 12
• N. Diploma/ Degree in Graphic Design or Equivalent qualification

EXPERIENCE

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in broadcasting environment
• Knowledge of TV broadcasting technologies and Playout

KNOWLEDGE

• Experience of Playout systems (Lyric Chyron, PaintBox, Pixel, VizRT, Swift RT etc.)
• Adobe Creative Suite (PhotoShop and AfterEffects) an added advantage
