Job Description
Main Purpose:
To independently conduct cold chain services according to standards protocol, work instructions and procedures as prescribed through PPECB’s legislative mandate.
High level Objectives:
To ensure service delivery to clients in line with the organisations regulatory mandate.
To ensure compliance with the BMS, ISO 9001 and all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
To ensure completeness of income
To ensure compliance to Human Capital policies and procedures.
To ensure effective Risk Management.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the perishable-export logistical chain
Experience in PPECB cold chain disciplines
Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant PPECB legislative mandate
Knowledge of perishable-export industry
Knowledge of policies and procedures;
Product and technical knowledge
Systems and process knowledge
Knowledge of risk management
Must be able to travel locally and nationally as and when the job requires him/her to do so
Must have a valid driver's licence and own relible transport
Must have 50 technical credits and 10 soft skills credits as per PPECB talent management
Must be in good health

Job Description
- Inspect and certify perishable product.
- Inspect the handling, storage and transportation of perishable products.
- Ensure the correct application of quality management systems, BMS procedures and work instructions.
- Perform administrative tasks.
- Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients.
- Communicate with clients on own specific task and outcomes of decisions.
- Participate in relief duty roster.
- Accept the responsibility of continuous self-improvement in their area of responsibility.
Job Requirement
- A tertiary qualification in an agricultural discipline with at least four seasons as a graduate.
- Technical competencies in Citrus is mandatory.
- Exposure in the following products will be to the candidates' advantage, Pome; Stone fruit and stone other.
- Computer Literacy.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- A valid code 08 driving license and own reliable vehicle is a requirement to do the job.
