GENERAL MANAGER: COMPLIANCE
SALARY GROUP: Executive
LOCATION: Umjantshi House, PRASA Head Office

DEPARTMENT: Group Legal, Risk and Compliance
POSITION MISSION
To lead and direct the compliance functions in the Group.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Qualification in Law/ Auditing/LLB/Compliance (NQF 8)
• Admission as an Attorney or Advocate with pupillage
• Member of the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa (CISA)
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
• Master of Laws (LLM)/ Master of Public Law/ Auditing/MBA/ Compliance
EXPERIENCE
• 12 years’ Compliance/Legal/ Risk management/Auditing experience of which 5 years should be at a senior management level
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
• Contribute to the development and review of the Group Legal, Risk and Compliance strategy, procedures, systems, and initiatives.
• Ensure the alignment and review of Compliance strategies and plans with changing business needs or other developments.
• Oversight and leadership for the provision of Compliance services.
• Develop, review, and maintain compliance-related policies, standards, and procedures
• Identify, interpret, and monitor applicable legislation, regulations, and governance requirements.
• Review existing processes and systems to identify and mitigate compliance risk.
• Engage with Regulators (Information Regulator, BBBEE Commission, Railway Safety Regulator, Private Security Industry
Regulatory Authority, National Treasury, Department of Transport etc.) on compliance matters.
• Determine the department’s priorities and ensure effective allocation of resources to these priorities.
• Develop and implement efficiency measures to ensure optimum capacity utilisation and performance.
• Ensure general and management reporting on compliance matters

SPECIALIST: COMPLIANCE SALARY

POSITION MISSION
To support the organisations’ management in discharging its responsibility to comply with applicable regulatory requirements (i.e. applicable laws, regulations, rules, organisational policies and standards etc.) and to assist in the identification and mitigation of compliance risks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Qualification in Law/Auditing/Compliance (NQF 7)
ADDED ADVANTAGE:
• Postgraduate qualification in Law/LLB/Auditing/Compliance
• Registration with the Compliance Institute of South Africa or a professional compliance association
EXPERIENCE
• 7 years compliance or regulatory experience.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
• Provide advisory services on regulatory compliance matters.
• Investigate and report on regulatory compliance matters.
• Conduct the monitoring and review of identified compliance risk matters.
• Participate in external industry groups.
• Participate in PRASA ethics initiatives and combined assurance activities.
• Engage counterparts across PRASA Group to share knowledge and identify regulatory themes.
• Maintain an accurate and comprehensive repository of regulatory engagements of the Group.
• Report on all compliance related matters.
