Requirements :

  • A Grade 12/ National Senior Certificate. A Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) in terms of Government Notice R.425, or an equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/Accoucheur. Diploma/Degree in Nursing Education. Post Basic Diploma in Medical and Surgical: Operating Theatre Nursing Science (R.212) or Postgraduate Diploma in Peri-Operative Nursing (R.635) registered with SANC. Master’s degree in nursing or public health (Applicants who are in the data analysis stage of the research may be considered). Proof of current registration with SANC. Certificate in Assessor and Moderator. Good communication, supervisory, report writing, and presentation skills. Ability to work in a team and under pressure. Computer literacy/ certificate (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). A valid driver’s license. PND1: minimum of 4 years of appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur. Diploma/Degree in Nursing Administration and teaching experience in Nursing will be an added advantage. PND2: minimum of 14 years of appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after being registered as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/ Accoucheur; at least 10 years of the period must be appropriate experience in Nursing Education.

  • Facilitate the provision of Education and Training of specialist student nurses in both clinical and theory. Guide and support student nurses effectively. Exercise control over specialist student nurses. Implement assessment strategies to determine students’ competency. Support the vision and mission of the college through participation in meetings, committees, and college activities. Participate in Scholarly Research and Community Engagement activities at the college/campus. Participate in curriculum implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and review.

Requirements :

  • Basic nursing diploma/degree as a professional nurse and basic midwifery registered with South African Nursing Council. Nursing administration is required. A minimum of 7 years recognisable experience in nursing. Basic computer skills. Current SANC receipt. Basic Midwifery qualification Demonstrate basic understanding of HR and financial policies and practices. Duties :

  • Supervise and ensure provision of effective and efficient care through adequate nursing at night.
