SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY)

LOCATION: Gauteng (Midrand)

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2030

REMUNERATION PACKAGE (CTC): R1 023 616 – R1 195 718 per annum

REPORTING TO: ICT Manager

An exciting opportunity exists at the CHIETA Head Office for a Software Developer on a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2030. The incumbent will develop, maintain, and enhance software applications. Candidates who meet the requirements of the position are invited to apply.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor’s degree (NQF level 7) in Software Development / Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Systems / Informatics / Financial Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of Systems Development in a Lead Developer position.
  • Solid experience in JavaScript and the Node.js ecosystem.
  • Extra credit for knowledge of ODOO.
  • Knowledge of Web and Mobile Development; .NET Core Framework; ASP.NET, MVC, Web API and Core; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript; jQuery, Angular and React; ORM; Web Services (REST & SOAP), Workflow systems; SQL Server 2022; MySQL 8; Database Design.

  • Apply advanced programming skills to create scalable, high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate new technologies and features.
  • Implement security measures and ensure system scalability and performance.
  • Conduct JAD sessions and facilitate user requirement gathering.
  • Manage service providers and generate reports for stakeholders with the Innovation and Technology Business Unit.
