OBSERVATION PERSONNEL

Division: Alkantpan Test Range

Location: Alkantpan Test Range, Copperton (Full-time; onsite)

 

ABOUT THE JOB:

To provide an effective and efficient ordnance observation at Impact area to Alkantpan.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Grade 12
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience in an administrative environment

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following functions but not limited to; 

·       Conduct orientation for clients on the impact area.

·       Observe and report impact data.

·       Observe and report ordnance functioning.

·       Recording of data measured.

·       Accurate relaying of data via radio.

·       Perform first level maintenance on applicable equipment.

·       Support other functions on an ad hoc basis. 

 

KNOWLEDGE & FUNCTIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge to use two-way radio.
  • Communication skills.
  • Knowledge on preparation and operation of theodolite
