JOB TITLE: Manager: Facilities

Mission
To manage the provision of a Facilities Management service for the property portfolio of the region which includes, offices, workshops, depots and stations in line with PRASA Corporate Real Estate Solutions mandate and adherence to PMFA, OHSA and RSR Acts in ensuring safety of users and maximum availability of these assets in line with the primary mandate of PRASA in providing Rail commuter services in the Western Cape.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Sustain safe & healthy facilities for operational and commercial environment.
• Manage the provision of soft and hard facilities services for the region.
• Tenant liaison/providing customer service.
• Compile Maintenance plan and requisite capital and operational Budgets.
• Management of utilization of resources in line with the budget for facilities.
• Manage the performance of service providers in line with their contracts for the provision of services.
• Land invasion Management.
• Budget preparation.
• Risk and Environmental management.
• Capacitate functional teams.
• Manage staff performance.
• Manage requisite changes to enhance efficiencies in energy and resource usage.
 
 
Knowledge:
Facilities Management; Property Management; RSR Act and relevant Legislations; Procurement Processes, Public Involvement programmes; Quality assurance, Company standards and processes; Rail Business environment; Budgets; In-depth understanding and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act; SAP.

Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12
• B –Tech / Degree in Facilities Management/ Engineering /Electrical / Civil Quantity Surveying /Building and construction
• 3 years’ experience in Facilities environment,
• 3years should be in building Industry environment
• 5 years management experience
• Driver’s license
