ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: CLIENT INTERFACE REF NO: PT 07/2021 
SALARY : R376 596 per annum (Level 09) 
CENTRE : Provincial Treasury, Western Cape Government 
 

REQUIREMENTS : An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher) in Economics/Public Policy/Business Administration/Finance or related field; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in co-ordination of budgetary process environment; A valid code B driving license. Recommendation: Strong financial background; Working knowledge of budget processes and procedures; Working knowledge of financial norms and standards as well as Acts such as MFMA and PFMA and related prescripts. Competencies: Thorough knowledge of the following: Management and coordination of provincial and/or municipal budgetary processes in the government environment; Provincial budgets in order to recommend allocations to the provincial cabinet. Skills: Good communication (written and verbal); Information management; High level negotiating; Project Management; Planning and organising; Ability to work under pressure; Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel). 
 
DUTIES : Manage and coordinate the successful Planning and implementation of the Provincial budget process; Manage the following: Successful planning and Implementation of the Local Government MTEC process; Provincial Treasury components workflow and MyContent (PG and LG) workspace; Drive and guide the assessment of municipal and departmental performance.
