CENTRE MANAGER FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTRE AND RAPID INCUBATOR 
CENTRE: Vredenburg Campus Ref No: WCTVETC 16/20 
SALARY: R697 001.00 – R821 052.00 All inclusive 
CONTRACT: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract 
 
 
Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Enterprise Development key and Master will be added advantage experience in running a business, project management, fundraising and managing a business incubator; A three year recognized tertiary qualification in Business Management or Business Administration or entrepreneurship; must have a valid driver’s licence; training: qualification in Business Management or Business Administration or Entrepreneurship; Assessor and Moderator training will be advantageous; 5 – 10 years’ experience in managing enterprise development programmes; 5 years’ experience in supervision on management level; Proven experience in an innovation and manufacturing-driven industry or organization. Comprehensive knowledge of TVET Sector and relevant legislation; in-depth knowledge understanding the SMME and incubation industry; knowledge of New Venture Creation; Knowledge of facilitation, supervising staff; motivating of staff; disciplining of staff; Good interpersonal skills; Good communication skills; Budgeting skills; Strong leadership skills; Planning and organisational skills. Duties: Operations Management: Coordinate day-to-day operations of the (CFERI) Centre; Manage the CERI’s office, technology, equipment and industrial growth efforts; Encourage an environment of innovative thinking and commercialization of innovative ideas; Coordinate and monitor initiatives for the incubation service offering; Plan, coordinate, organize and spearhead efforts to recruit and locate office, technology, and industrial users; Ensuring appropriate equipment and materials are available for the successful operations; Ensure programme compliance with applicable internal and external requirements; Coordinate the development, evaluation and implementation of the Incubation Model through goals, objectives and activities related to Rapid Incubator/(RI) growth; Recruiting youth and entrepreneurs into the programmes and grow the SMMEs in various sectors; Develop, adapt and revise Centre policies and procedures; Prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to assigned programmes, including financial reports that summarize and/or outline incoming and outgoing funds; Reporting and documenting Centre efforts through SEDA’S reporting system; Work with the College Principal to make recommendations to Academic Board, College Council and government officials on programmes which support the development strategy for entrepreneurial growth; Conduct research to identify emerging needs, trends, and services related to recruitment and location of incumbents and affiliate members or other assigned areas of responsibility; Design and implement marketing material to ensure exposure of the CFERI programme offerings in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Department. Staff Management: Recruit, select and appoint staff in collaboration with the HR Unit; Manage employee performance; Employee training and development; Maintain discipline; Administer HR matters. 
Financial Management: Develop and monitor the Rapid Incubator/ CFERI budget; Sourcing of additional funding resources for the Rapid Incubator/ CFERI; Control the expenditure of funds in accordance with the business plan and requirements of the Centre Financial reporting to Deputy Principal Finances; Stakeholder Management: Establish working relationships with key stakeholders; Participate in forums of key stakeholders; Explore and initiate activities for community engagement; Represent the (CFERI) publicly to potential partners, funders and stakeholders; Prepare proposals to clients and responds to inquiries/requests from (CFERI) stakeholders; Serve as a liaison to college and other third-party resources; Engage with business community.
