INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
 
Waterberg TVET College is inviting young (up to 35-years), energetic and vibrant graduates (NQF Level 7) who have not previously participated in any INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME and currently unemployed, to gain work experience and exposure in the following fields of study as funded by ETDP SETA:
 
1) WTVET 2024/20 - Electrical Engineering majoring in Electronics (x1 position)
SITE: Based at Thabazimbi Campus but can be request to assist at other College campuses
REMUNERATION: Stipend of R6,500 per month
DURATION: 24-months
 
REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's Degree/Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering majoring in Electronics * Computer literate (MS Office package) * Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to learn * Valid Driver’s Licence (will be an added advantage)
 
DUTIES: Academic support and referrals * Write monthly reports and keep register of students assisted * Any other support duties requested.
 
 
 
 
 
2) WTVET 2024/21 - Mathematics (x1 position)
SITE: Based at Engineering and Skills Training Centre but can be request to assist at other College campuses
REMUNERATION: Stipend of R6,500 per month
DURATION: 24-months
 
REQUIREMENT: Bachelor of Science Degree/Advanced Diploma majoring in Mathematics * Computer literate (MS Office package) * Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to learn * Valid Driver’s Licence (will be an added advantage)
 
DUTIES: Academic support and referrals * Write monthly reports and keep register of students assisted * Any other support duties requested.
 
* Successful applicants will sign an internship agreement with ETDP SETA valid for a period of 24 months * Students who already participated in an Internship programme, should NOT apply.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME and currently unemployed, to gain work experience and exposure in the following fields of study as funded by ETDP SETA:
 
 
1) WTVET 2024/17 - Agriculture (x1 position)
SITE: IT and Computer Science Centre (Rooywal Farm)
REMUNERATION: Stipend of R5,000 per month
DURATION: 24 months
 
REQUIREMENT: Diploma in Agriculture * Computer literate (MS Office package) * Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to learn
 
DUTIES: Perform all farm duties assigned by the Supervisor * Willing to perform farm hard labour * To work awkward hours * To work over weekends.
 
 
 
 
2) WTVET 2024/18 - Mechanical Engineering (x1 position)
SITE: Engineering and Skills Training Centre
REMUNERATION: Stipend of R5,000 per month
DURATION: 24 months
 
REQUIREMENT: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering * Computer literate (MS Office package) * Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to learn.
 
DUTIES: Set up the workshop tools for students during practical's or ISAT * Do maintenance of equipment * Stock control on weekly bases * Take full control of all equipment and institution assets in the Workshop * Preparation and submission of monthly reports * Any take other reasonable duties as instructed by Supervisor.
 
 
 
 
3) WTVET 2024/19 - Finance (x 1 position)
SITE: Central Office
REMUNERATION: Stipend of R5,000 per month
DURATION: 24 months
 
REQUIREMENT: Diploma in Finance * Computer literate (MS Office package) * Strong work ethic and enthusiasm to learn
 
DUTIES: Assist with compiling financial statements and management reports * Assist in compiling the annual budget and manage the college's bank accounts and investments * Assist in managing debtors and credit control processes * Analyse reconciliations and finances effectively manage the supply chain * Manage assets and liabilities.
 
Successful applicants will sign an internship agreement with ETDP SETA valid for a period of 24 months * Students who already participated in an Internship programme, should NOT apply.
