To coordinate the mainstreaming of Gender, Disability/Elderly, Children and HIV/Aids programme of the Council regarding the involvement of the community and integration of special programs into the IDP.
Supervise, coordinate and oversee the work programme of the Reintegration Unit to ensure compliance with various legislative by-law and policy provisions and in line with the Social Development Directorate / Department Strategies and Programmes.
Arrange special programme of the Council by:
Make sure that the community is informed about the council’s special programme e.g Children Issues, Gender Women and Men , Disability, Elderly and HIV/Aids.
Develop implementation plans for Children issues, Women and Men, Disability, Elderly and HIV/Aids
Interact with national and provincial agencies and institutions and relate to policies and strategies that were developed by these institutions
