Requirements: • Grade 10 • Cleaning Certificate will be added as an advantage • Minimum 1 year relevant experience.
 
Key Performance Areas: • Vacuuming carpeted floor areas. • Dusting and tidying desktops and shelves • Sweeping floor • Cleaning windows • Replacing water in jugs with fresh water using the water cooler machine • Cleaning ablution facilities • Mopping floors and wiping ceramic surfaces • Replacing toilets rolls, towels, etc. • Checking reporting defective items to the immediate superior for attention • Mixing and using chemical detergence to remove stains or dirt from painted or polished carpeted surfaces

Requirements: • Grade 12 • National Diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent • Computer literacy. • 2 years’ experience in Municipal Pension Fund Administration
 
Key Performance Areas: • Process housing loan applications on behalf of employees and make follow ups • Receive completed application forms and send them to service providers (Pension fund and Medical Aid) • Capture all benefits and deduction on the system. • Receive forms for Retirement, Resignation and Death cases. • Process funeral claims • Assist employees in completing of UIF forms on termination • Register new recruits for UIF and submit to department of labour. • Fill in UI19 on termination for submission to department of labour • Present benefits to new employees at orientation and through the induction process

BOREHOLE OPERATORS X10 (MUSINA X4, MAKHADO X3, COLLINS CHABANE X2, THULAMELA X1)
Post Level : 15
Salary Scale : R152 264.28
 
Requirements: • Grade 10 • Knowledge of the Operations of water sector and/ or local government sector; • Knowledge on Operations of a borehole, good listening skills, good communications skills, ability to follow instructions and work with a team; • Minimum 1 year relevant experience.
 
Key Performance Areas: • Check all pump houses • Switch pumps on and off • Balance Water • Take water meter readings • Fill in log sheet of starting and finishing time of pumps • Fill in diesel usage log sheets • Notify the immediate superior when there are problems with pumps • Check all the reservoir levels in the area • Fill in a reservoir level log sheet • Report any identified problems to the immediate supervisor
 
 
 
 
 
OPERATORS WASTE WATER X06 (ELIM ORBAL PLANT X2, THULAMELA BOOSTER PUMP X3 MAKHADO SEWAGE X1)

Salary Scale: R152 264.28
Requirements: • Grade 10 • Minimum 1 years relevant experience.
 
Key Performance Areas: • Remove large particles in the grit removal system • Rake screens manually on two hourly basis and bury them in the pit • Check the sludge to see if it contains a lot of rags and plastics • Check weirs and surface of various process units for presence of rags and plastics • Remove grit manually and bury them together with the screeners • Remove any vegetative, plastic bags or dead birds from the inlet and outlet weir points and report to the supervisor • Remove any floating debris from the surface • Operate booster pump
 
 
 
 
GENERAL WORKERS X2 (MAKHADO X1, MUSINA X1)
Post Level: 15
Salary Scale: R152 264.28
 
Requirements: • Grade 10 • A Grade 12 (Matric) will be an added advantage • A minimum of 1 year experience
 
Key Performance Areas: • Clean inside of water reservoirs • Cut/ trim lawns and verges using handheld machines (brush cutters, lawnmowers) and/ or tools (shears, lashers) for the clearing of overgrown shrubs. • Weed, clean and shape flower beds using handheld gardening tools. • Excavate/ backfill trenches using handheld equipment (spades, picks) • Pick up litter and/ or items lying in open spaces • Remove and replace refuse bags from collection bins • Carry refuse bags to designated areas for collection and/ or attends to the loading/ offloading of refuse bags/ materials and or garden refuse into/ from vehicles. • Remove and wash off debris from tools and/ or vehicles using pressurized cleaning systems (handheld hoses). • Clean equipment (brush cutters, lawnmowers) using specific cleaning aides (brush) and replacing nylon cutting lines and/ or checking/ replacing fuel to specified levels. • Place and stack tools/ equipment in designated storage area and/ or verbally reporting the condition/ status of tools/ equipment to the immediate superior. • Load/unload equipment/materials in a vehicle
 
 
 
 
 
DEPARTMENT: ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND PLANNING 
Position: Secretary to the General Manager
Post Level: 08
Salary Scale: R373 736.26

Requirements: • Grade 12 • National Diploma in Office Management / Secretarial Diploma/Management Assistant or equivalent • Minimum 2 years relevant experience • Computer literate in Ms. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel • Good communication (verbal and written) skills • Excellent interpersonal skills and etiquette • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
 
Key Performance Areas: • Carry general Office Management tasks • Typing all letters, memos, reports and related correspondences • Filing and records management • Office management and administration at a high level • Make travel and accommodation arrangements • Consolidation of reports • Handle telephone and messages • Follow up on outstanding correspondence • Receive visitors and diarise appointments for the GM Development Planning • Perform any other duties that may be delegated.
