MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, Project Management or equivalent.
- Three years relevant working experience on a senior management within the higher education sector;
- Three years ‘experience on leading and managing national or institutional implementation programs with large budgets across multiple institutions or government, and its institution;
- Three years’ experience in undertaking and reporting on grants;
- Three years’ experience in oversight, monitoring and evaluation.
ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES:
- Relevant Postgraduate degree;
- Three years working experience on a senior management level within the public sector responsible for grants.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will be required to:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the development grants;
- Management, monitoring and evaluation of progress of projects funded through grants
- Provide strategic support to all Programme and project owners funded through grants
- Financial reporting and monitoring of the Development Grant Office
- Manage and oversee operations for Development Grant Office;
- Undertake and report on policy research to help the University to integrate use of all grants.
- Work with large budgets across multiple units within the university;
- Provide direction and effective management of staff in the Development Grant Office;
- Provides Vice-Chancellor and Executive Management Committee members with key reports on the implementation of projects ad programs funded through grants;
- Advise the Vice-Chancellor on areas of development to align grant funding to the holistic development of the University.

PROPERTIES AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT (Five year contract).
The purpose of this role is to manage all aspects of the University’s real estate/properties, utility infrastructure, facilities, transportation fleet and other related resources to provide a support environment aligned with the University’s core business objectives. To also provide both short and long-term comprehensive and integrated maintenance management planning and implementation for the University at large.
The role is also responsible to manage and be accountable for the efficient and effective provision of comprehensive client cantered services in both soft and hard facilities management support activities. The role is furthermore responsible for the management of health, safety & environmental matters for the University as a whole
The position reports to the Executive Director University Estates and Facilities Management Services.
Requirements:
Key Performance Areas
1. Responsible for the development; implementation and monitoring of the infrastructure maintenance plan.
2. Responsible for the day to day management of soft services such as cleaning; horticulture and waste management services as per service level agreements.
3. Responsible for the mobilisation for facilities management.
4. Responsible for the demobilisation of facilities management for infrastructure that will be disposed of as well as for infrastructure earmarked for upgrades, refurbishments or rehabilitation.
5. Responsible for occupational health; safety and environmental regulatory compliance and risk management.
6. Responsible for the statutory reporting relating to the management and use of the University’s estate and facilities.

- An NQF level 8 qualification in one of the following disciplines real estate, architecture, construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years comprehensive experience in Physical Planning and Delivery Management / infrastructure management/ with a proven track.
- The applicant must have acquired the specific experience in the following areas: At least 4 years in a senior management position.
- At least 6 years’ experience in project management.
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing complex property estates and facilities portfolio.
- Higher Education sector working experience will be advantageous.
- Registration with Built Environment Professions Council as a professional (not a candidate) is mandatory.
- Sound knowledge of the legal and financial aspects of managing facility operations and maintenance services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the complex regulatory environments in higher education including good understanding of the legislative environment. 8. Sound knowledge of managing a complex property estates and facilities portfolio.

The Director: CAE reports to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor: Teaching and Learning and is responsible for all academic development and academic support functions at the University. The Director is responsible for leadership of the Centre in three main areas, viz. Teaching and Learning Support, Academic Staff Development and Student.
Requirements:

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Education/Higher Education/Psychology
- At least 5 (five) years in teaching and learning related activities in Higher Education (Two of the afore mentioned five years, should be in student and/or staff development in a Higher Education environment)
- Conducted workshops or shared papers on Higher Education related topics
- Knowledge of and experience in the blended learning approach to teaching and learning

The appointee will be tasked to ensure the academic integrity, and financial viability of the Masters and Post Grad curricula and qualifications. One (1) vacancy exists for a suitably qualified, experienced individual in the above-stated Department. The individual will form part of a dynamic team of academics, responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and community engagement in the Department. The Department is within the School of Languages and Communication Studies, Faculty of Humanities.
Requirements:
- Honours degree in Performing and Dramatic Arts
- Minimum of two years teaching experience in tertiary institution will be an added advantage.
- Ability to develop innovative and inclusive approach to the teaching of Performing Arts.
- Broad-based community engagement expertise in Theatre Arts.
- Demonstration of the ability to prepare students for life beyond school.
- Knowledge of functional, adaptive, and social skills are an additional necessity
- Good understanding of decision-making, problem solving skills as well as creative/ critical thinking.

The incumbent will be responsible to administer bursaries and funds received from sponsors and to adhere to sponsor’s funding conditions.

1) NQF Level 7 in Accounting /Financial management/Business administration
