The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint appropriately qualified and experienced candidates for a vacant post in the office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor: Teaching and Learning.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification in Office Management/Administration or in a related field (NQF level 7).
- 3 years’ experience in Office Management and Administration Support, preferably at a senior level.
- 3 Years’ experience at a Higher Education Institution.
Responsibilities Include:
- Office Administration, including, Secretarial (Personal Assistant) role to the DVC
- Management of the office and diary of the DVC, bearing in mind the complexity of managing the DVC’s activities across campuses.
- Provides an effective interface between the DVCs’ office and all levels of the University community.
- Meetings, event coordination and management, including administration of the relevant meetings (agenda compilation, minutes and reports)
- Implement administrative duties of the departments, HOD’s and faculty events and resource mobilisation activities related to the DVC
- Public Relations, including maintaining relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel management, including bookings for local and international trips
