Unilever’s Cyber Security organization is a multi-disciplinary team responsible for protecting the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of our Information and Operations. Our Cyber Security organization runs a 24x7 Security Operations Centre (SOC), oversees a robust Security Architecture and associated technology landscape, provides Cyber Security Solution Engineering and Risk Advisory to our business, and assesses the security of our vast technology estate, including factories, to name but a few areas. Cyber Security sits as part of the Business Operations organisations, as a peer to Unilever’s Technology and Data functions and the broad Supply Chain agenda. Cyber Security is tasked with elevating, reporting on and influencing enterprise cyber security risk mitigation across Unilever. The Cyber Security function is made up of the Governance, Risk, Assurance, and Compliance (GRAC) team, the Tech & Ops team, the BISO teams, and the Office of the CISO.
 
Role Purpose:
This Information Security Lead role supports the BISO in securing Unilever’s business in Africa. This includes cyber risk assessment across the region, including for third parties, representing to the regional businesses our central security services, applying those services to determine gaps in the regional security posture, consulting on appropriate risk mitigation approaches, managing the regional security exceptions, cyber incident response in the region, and elevating and reporting into the central Cyber Security function. These activities will be conducted with a ‘Risk Based’ approach to help individual businesses manage cyber risk in their area.
 
Role Summary:
A vacancy exists for the Information Security Lead (ISL) for Africa within Unilever’s cyber function. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Africa region achieving and maintaining Cyber Security objectives, standards, awareness, and compliance, defined using a ‘Risk Based’ approach. This leadership position will report to the regional Business Information Security Lead (BISO).
 
Key areas under this role delivered by the ISL team include:
  • Cyber security solution engineering and risk advisory across Unilever businesses, assuring appropriate risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.
  • Ensuring the deployment and running of security tooling in Africa, in conjunction with the Tech & Ops team.
  • Ensuring the Security Operations Centers (SOC) have full visibility across the ecosystem and actively participate in incident response at the direction of the Head of Incident Response.
  • Developing and delivering risk reports for Africa.
  • Tailoring cyber training and awareness in Africa in alignment and partnership with the Cyber Training and Awareness Lead.
  • Leading cyber cultural transformation across Africa in line with our Security Strategy and Transformation program.
  • Maintaining and effectively directing the timely closure of security exceptions in businesses while reporting status to the Governance, Risk, Assurance and Compliance (GRAC) team.
  • Providing standards and controls feedback, based on local implementation requirements to the GRAC team to help shape global policies and standards.
  • Partner with the BISO for Supply Chain and BISO for R&D to ensure appropriate cyber risk mitigation for those functional areas within their region of responsibility.
  • Testing business continuity planning (BCP) and disaster recovery (DR) in the region.
The position calls for a strategic individual with strong communication and influencing skills, who can roll their sleeves up tactically to understand business operations, digital transformation, cloud, applications, information technology (IT), operational technology (OT), internet of things (IoT) and Cybersecurity. This leader will utilize her/his knowledge and experience to assist with the implementation of an effective global cyber security program that ensures the overall cyber security posture of the company is aligned with business needs and balanced to protect in the evolving threat landscape. This role supports the Global CISO in building strong relationships with internal leaders and senior executives, along with the other senior Cyber Security leadership team, on matters of cyber security and cyber risk, to foster the execution of cyber security as a business enabler.
 
Main Accountabilities
  • Responsible for cyber security solution engineering and advisory across Unilever businesses in Africa.
  • Responsible for ensuring SOC visibility across Africa.
  • Responsible for cyber risk reporting within Africa to the CISO and to the business leaders.

  • Partner with corporate audit for planned cyber security audit review across their region of responsibility.
  • Identify, categorize and risk assess third parties for cyber security implications across their region of responsibility.
  • Attract, develop, and lead a team of Information Security Leads and subject matter experts across the region, as planned for in the central cyber security budget and headcount plan.

Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading the Africa Operations Hub to deliver and execute centralised HR activities for key employee lifecycles, such as joiners; role moves; exits; pay and benefits and data and reporting capabilities.
  • Design and deliver operational reporting metrics to consistently measure and report effectiveness of the services, with a focus on employee experience, quality, responsiveness, and other service KPIs

JOB SUMMARY
The Unemployed learner is responsible for carrying out general line operations and cleaning regimes according to planned operational requirements to safely deliver a good quality packed product.  Carries out pre-start-up checks to ensure that the area and equipment is clean and is in a safe condition as per the SOP. 
Monitors quality against set standards and reports any product and packaging faults.  Detects process abnormalities quickly and takes emergency action to prevent them.
Must actively contribute to an eco-efficient environment. Clean the machine according to manufacturer’s standards as well as site specs.
Check and prepare raw materials that will be used. Maintain the safety of oneself and that of others on the line. Effective communication skills, Physical ability to manually lift packaged final product – good physical condition. Comply with learnership requirements as stipulated by UL and training provider i.e., assessments, logbook and assignments.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
Innovations Planner would be responsible for leading SC innovation execution from Charter to Market Ready Gate for Local Jewels and Single MSO (10 & 20) related Innovations. Innovation Planner must ensure on time, high quality innovation delivery, at optimum cost which meets the business and category growth strategy. He/she will be responsible for coordinating relevant short-long term activities with the Hub Planning team and Product Group team. This role will be project based across various categories.
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Engineering 
  • Diagnoses and interprets multi-disciplinary problems (fault finding) to optimise production output and with own team carries out the plant repairs.
  • Ensures that service levels are maintained at the required standards by carrying out all  breakdown, preventative and predictive maintenance effectively.
Plant Maintenance
  • Is responsible for the reduction of breakdowns in his area of responsibility by analysing breakdowns, complying with the PPM requirement and implementing Continuous improvements.
  • Completion of EWO’s in diagnosing root cause analysis. 
  • Participates in strategic engineering plans  to deliver maintenance and breakdown reduction benefits (RCM). Delivers PM KPI’s 
Problem Solving and Decision Making
  • Responsible for faultfinding and problem solving of engineering/ operational problems in his area by ensuring that the appropriate corrective action regarding any deviation from standards is taken.
  • Identifies the major engineering losses in his area and investigates using Kaizan problem solving methodology. (Fishbone, 5 Why etc.)
Administration
  • Completes all required documentation to standard and captures SAP, maintenance and stores information on relevant data system (e.g. Buildapp)
SHE
  • Ensures that Company safety rules and regulations are adhered to within the sphere of his responsibility. 
  • Implementation and assists with maintaining Unilever safety and 5S standards in the area on responsibility.
  • Supports audit action closure for SHE or Quality for equipment safety.  
  • Implements Unilever Machinery safety standards to area of responsibility ​ 
  • Able to isolate machinery and share safe working principles ensuring Lock out tag out is always used.​ 
  • Utilize all appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for the whole team.  Full knowledge of the workplace and hazards within it. ​
  • Ensuring Unilever machinery safety standards are maintained as well as all legal and statutory maintenance is done to the standards required by Unilever and the law.
AM
  • Draws up, Coaches and develops engineering skills to other maintenance and operational staff using OPL and SOP’s / SMP’s. 
  • Completes tags in his area of responsibility to the completion ratio required
 
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Millwright Trade  
  • Ideally 2-3 years experience
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) 
  • SAP/PMS (Plant maintenance systems). 
  • Problem solving skills
