JUNIOR ICT INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNICIAN (1 YEAR)

Requirements
National Diploma (NQF Level 6/7) in Information and Communication Technology: Infrastructure and User Support Management, or equivalent. • At least 2 years of relevant experience in ICT infrastructure and user support management or ICT Helpdesk• Knowledge of IT service management or ICT helpdesk experience is preferred. • At least one of the following certifications: A+ or N+ or ITIL Foundation. • Advanced skills in M365 Office Suite (e.g. MS Word, Excel). Excellent problem-solving abilities, with strong communication and customer relationship skills. • Capable of working independently and under pressure, adaptable, disciplined, and confident. Proficiency in writing and interpersonal communication.
 
Duties
Provide ICT helpdesk services, serving as the first point of contact, documenting incidents, classifying, and prioritizing them, and escalating unresolved issues to higher support levels. Co-ordinate and implement computer rollout projects to ensure seamless integration and minimal operational disruption. Provide comprehensive support for local area network (LAN) and desktop infrastructure. Manage and troubleshoot a range of mobile devices, including notebooks, iPads, and tablets. • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, maintaining documentation on activities and system performance.

Requirements
• A 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology• 3 year of relevant work experience. •Knowledge in Natural Adabas will be an advantage • Proficient verbal and written communication skills • Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals which include MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook.
 
Duties
• Design, create and maintain mainframe programs on the Umalusi quality assurance and certification system. • Provide training to end users on systems or applications developed. • Provide end user support on the system. • On the job training provided to successful candidates
