Requirements
Three( 3) national diploma in Information and Communication Technology (Software Development) and/or equivalent qualification • 5 years appropriate practical ICT experience in programming, software design and development, implementation and maintenance • Must have a minimum of 3 years software development experience using Natural/Adabas • Good knowledge of Natural/Adabas utilities and tools • Knowledge of Adabas database and database design • Completed a recognised Natural Programming course • Completed a Natural One course or have experience with this IDE will be an advantage • Sound knowledge of system development and systems analysis • Strong knowledge of computer fundamentals which include: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint; MS Outlook. • Knowledge and understanding of the rules/regulations and the certification/examination processes for the National Senior certificate, National Certificate Vocational and GET certificate will be an advantage.
Duties
Analyse, design, develop and maintain mainframe Information and Communication Technology systems using Natural/Adabas • Team player in a small development/maintenance team • System analysis and design • Facilitate and lead JAD sessions • Testing of systems • Provide training to end users • The applicant must be able to work under pressure and meet very strict deadlines (from time to time it might be required of you to work outside normal working hours and on public holidays) • Monthly progress reporting on assigned activities • Presentation, communication, writing and administrative skills.

ASSISTANT MANAGER: FINANCE

Requirements
An appropriate, recognized 3 year higher education qualification in Financial Management/Accounting is essential ? 3-10 years experience in accounting environment with specific experience in Supply Chain Management, Asset and Revenue management and internal control ? A minimum of 3 years proven managerial or supervisory experience in a finance division ? Sound knowledge of the PFMA, 1999(Act no. 1 of 1999), Treasury Regulations, GRAP, and other relevant legislation ? Knowledge and experience of accounting systems ? Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, and the ability to liaise at all levels within a public entity ? Computer literacy with sound knowledge of the full MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) ? Duties
Prepare and co-ordinate Annual Financial Statements as per GRAP guidelines ? Prepare and review monthly financial statements and track Program expenditure ? Co-ordinate internal and external audit queries and ensure implementation of audit recommendations ? Ensure accounting records are accurately maintained (accrual basis) ? Ensure accurate accounting, debtors and creditors (Supply Chain Management) functions on a day-to-day basis, thus enabling the finance manager to concentrate on development of systems, enhance financial reporting and more effective overall management ?Assist in the maintenance of the asset register ? Develop and implement internal controls, financial policies and procedures ? Monitor and manage staff development and performance against the achievement of sub-unit’s objectives ? Manage revenue collection, billing, tracing of debtors, writing off of bad debts ? Manage revenue and expenditure to achieve policy goals ? Establish efficiency indicators in spending and revenue collection ? Analyse and assess debtor management and tariff adjustments ? Application of fiscal discipline and introduction of remedial measures to collect revenue due, contain costs, and oversee staff daily tasks.

Duties

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT: QUALITY ASSURANCE OF ASSESSMENT – POST-SCHOOL QUALIFICATIONS: TECHNICAL AND VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Requirements
NSC or NC(V) Level 4 or NSC (Colleges) or SC, SC(Amended) or equivalent NQF Level 4 certificate with language(s). Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management. Ability to plan and organize projects, seminars, workshops, and meetings. Ability to work independently and in a team.
Duties
Support the planning of workshops, user training, projects, and meetings of the sub-unit. Prepare and organize training material and equipment for the training of external moderators. Support the implementation of the operational plan of the sub-unit. Manage and update the sub-unit database of independent contract workers. Plan and organize the logistical arrangements for the sub-unit activities. Establish and maintain an effective filing system and keep electronic and hard copies for the sub-unit as per file plan. Manage incoming and out coming mail, email, fax documents and make photocopies. Use Management Information System (MIS) for assigning tasks to contract staff. Process, capture and track claims and liaise with the finance unit. Prepare travel arrangements and liaise with the travel agencies for flight bookings, accommodation and car hire for the sub-unit team members and contract staff according to applicable and related policies. Track budget for each activity of the sub-unit. Prepare for meetings and related activities, take minutes, and distribute these to the sub-unit members and/or relevant parties. Maintain a sound rapport with the internal and external stakeholders through effective communication. Attend to stakeholder queries, screen telephone calls and record messages. Perform any other duty delegated by the management.
