The Department of Public Management requires the services of WIL COORDINATOR for both first and second semester subjects for the 2025 academic year
 
Key performance areas: 
• Central coordination of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) in the Faculty of Humanities at the Mbombela Campus. 
• Industry liaison 
• Negotiate suitable placement positions for students with government departments, municipalities, and other organizations. 
• Provide industry related information to students. 
• Facilitating WIL planning and coordination within the Public Affairs and Law programmes. 
• Conduct and facilitate preparatory workshops for all students (WIL). 
• Carry out any other WIL task allocated by Academic Manager. 
 
Minimum requirements: 
1. Academic qualification: 
• An Advanced Diploma/Postgraduate Diploma/Master’s in Law or Public Administration/Public Management/Public Affairs, or an equivalent qualification. 
 
2. Experience: 
• At least 1 year experience in coordinating WIL activities at tertiary level

Day classes start from 08:00 – 17:00 & Night Classes Start from 17:15 – 21:15

• Study record with major subjects listed.
• At least three years ‘teaching (contact and distance) and/or research experience at a tertiary institution will be required and/or industry related experience.

• Proficiency in MS Office as well as other teaching and learning with technology software
• Full proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
• Progress towards a masters’ degree will be a strong recommendation.

The Faculty of Economics and Finance, Ga-Rankuwa Campus, requires the services of 1 x part- time lecturer for teaching in the fields of Auditing and Internal Auditing on their Ga-Rankuwa Campus for 2025.

Please note that this part-time appointment will be for 19-hours per week for lecturing during the week from 1 February., 2025.

To provide lecturing services for the following content: 
  • Computational Mathematics and/or Programming in Java. 
 
Key performance areas/Core functions: 
  • To provide remedial lecturing duties for the extended/ foundation curriculum in the areas of communication and languages in line with the faculty’s teaching strategy. 
  • Other lecturing duties e.g. invigilating, marking scripts, processing marks, on learning management system, assess/ moderate, online material development, and video development. 
  • Attend the Unit's activities, such as meetings, mentorship, tutorship, panel interviews, workshops, and events. 
  • Establish/ participate in ICT-related community engagement project(s). 
  • Other relevant academic duties as required by the unit/academic manager e.g. curriculum review and development, module coordination, and content development. 
 
Minimum requirements: 
Academic qualifications: 
  • A relevant Masters Degree in Computing is the minimum requirement but, 
  • Honours Degree and/ or Postgraduate Diploma in Computing or relevant qualification with Maths and/or Programming in Java will be considered in the absence of Masters Degrees. 
 
Experience:
  • 3 years lecturing experience in Computational Mathematics and/or Programming. 
  • Experience in foundation-level teaching is a strong recommendation.

  • Expertise in Geography IV and Subject Didactics: Geography IV 
  • A formal teaching qualification in the General Education and Training Band (GET) with Intermediate/Senior Phase qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education degree, Senior Primary Teacher’s Diploma or equivalent). 
 
Experience: 
  • Three years lecturing experience within higher education is required. 
  • Knowledge in the following areas of study: Geography IV and Subject Didactics: Geography IV or taught Geography or Social Sciences at the school environment for at least 3 years. 
  • Added advantage: Teaching experience at Primary School. 
 
Knowledge and Skills 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage and inspire.

The Department of Chemical, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering require the services of part-time Lecturers for the following Chemical Engineering subjects, paid per hour up to a maximum of 12 hours per week: 
BEng Tech: Chemical Engineering Subjects: 
• Heat and Mass Transfer Processes (HMT216B) 
 
Minimum Requirements 
• MEng/ MSc/ MTech qualification in Chemical Engineering 
• 3 years relevant teaching experience at Tertiary level and/or 3 years’ experience in industry. 
 
Critical performance arrears: 
• Lecturing of the above-named subjects. 
• Standard academic duties and responsibilities. 
• Evaluate students on a continuous basis as well as administer tests and assignments according to study guides. 
• Community service and Industry Liaison 
• Research, innovation or community involvement 
• Setting, preparing and conducting lectures for the subjects.

• Training skills relating to the broad Engineering Spectrum 
• Experience with assessment management system for entering of marks and printing of class list. 
• Computer Literacy.
