SENIOR LECTURER: ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND NCV MECHATRONICS (POST LEVEL 2)
SALARY: R435 240.00 per annum plus benefits

Requirements: Senior Certificate plus a relevant three-year teaching qualification (REQV 13) with 3 years’ lecturing experience in the following subjects: Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics subjects. Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SACE registration, Assessor/Moderator qualification. Knowledge of legislation governing the sector.
 
Duties: 
  • Manage enrolment in line targets within the section. Ensure effective curriculum delivery on different modes including blended learning. Develop and implement assessment plans in line with the division and campus plans. Monitoring of student and lecturer attendance, develop and implement strategies to improve attendance.
  • Monitor and report on student and lecturer performance. Develop and implement an improvement plan to improve student performance. Supervise lecturers, conduct meetings, monitor lecturer performance, compile results analysis. Ensure that ICASS requirements and external examinations rules and regulations are complied with.
  • Responsible for leave management of his/her section. Assist the HOD with administrative duties. Responsible for work allocation, time tabling and optimal utilisation of staff within the section. Guide and supervise the work and performance of lecturers. Coordinate the work of subject committees and provide them with support. Compile quality reports and ensure that reports are submitted on time. Provide resources that support teaching and learning to staff members. Ensure that there is discipline amongst students and staff members.

Requirements: An appropriate three (03) years Degree/National Diploma or equivalent REQV13 qualification with major in Mechatronics. A Teachers qualification. SACE registration certificate. In-depth knowledge of the subject. Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), organizing, planning and administration skills. Ability to plan and deliver lessons. Monitor students’ performance and provide critical feedback in an objective and professional manner. Ability to relate to students in a professional manner and to promote a conducive teaching and learning environment. Computer literacy. Moderator and Assessor Certificate will be an added advantage.
 
Duties: Ability to teach Mechatronics L2 -L4 across all the levels. Compile the POA, POE and Subjects as mandated by DHET Curriculum Instructions and Teaching and Learning Plan Framework. Assist with recruitment, registration, and induction of students. Facilitate general academic and career development of students. Prepare lesson plans and lecture students in compliance with the College Annual Academic Plan, the Campus time- table and the College Quality Management System. Assess students, maintain assessment records, and capture marks electronically in compliance with the College’s policies and procedures. Create a conducive classroom environment and ensure efficient classroom management and discipline of students is always maintained. Report to the Senior Lecturer and liaise with the Student Support Officers in providing support interventions to students. Distribute textbooks and student packs to students and maintain the necessary records. Manage and monitor students attendance. Invigilate internal and external examinations. Participate in student extra- curricular activities and promote the holistic development. Embrace the use of the Learning Management System (LMS)

Minimum Requirements: Appropriate Degree/ National Diploma (NQF 6) in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Employment Relations or equivalent qualification. A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management / Labour Relations / Employee Wellness or related field. Extensive knowledge on PERSAL system. Knowledge of ITS. Knowledge of VIP payroll. Persal certificate will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s license.
Competencies, Abilities and Skills: Knowledge of Human Resources functions and policies coupled with excellent computer literacy, particularly in the MS Office Suite. The incumbent must demonstrate strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to perform under pressure, maintain accuracy, and meet tight deadlines. Good interpersonal relations, along with effective verbal and written communication skills, are essential. The position requires a candidate who is client-focused, committed, proactive, and able to work independently and within a team. Duties: 
  • Ensure overall supervision and proper implementation of conditions of service and remuneration of employees (leave, housing, medical, injury on duty, long service recognition, overtime, relocation, pension, allowances, PILIR etc.).   • Ensure overall supervision and proper implementation of Recruitment and Selection in line with the Departmental policy and delegations. (Advertisements, appointments, transfers, verification of qualifications, secretariat functions at interviews, absorptions, Probation periods etc.). 
  • Ensure overall supervision and proper implementation of Human Resource Development services (WSP, Training, Bursaries, Internship and Learnership programmes). Ensure overall supervision and monitor the implementation of Performance Management Development System, Integrated Quality Management System and conduct training to College officials. 
  • Ensure overall supervision and proper implementation of all Employee Health and Wellness Programmes. Provide overall supervision and technical guidance on the development of Job Descriptions and ensure that all officials have signed job descriptions. Ensure overall supervision and that the College Employment Equity Plan and HR Plan are developed, reviewed, submitted to Head Office and implemented. Requirements: A recognized three (3)-year National Diploma in Accounting / Financial Management or equivalent qualification (NQF level 6). A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a financial management environment. Sound knowledge of Public Service financial legislation, regulations, and procedures including PFMA, Treasury Regulations, DORA, PSA, PSR, PPPFA, CET ACT and relevant financial manuals. Knowledge and experience of financial systems such as BAS, PERSAL, LOGIS, COLTECH, ITS or SAGE will be an added advantage. A valid driver’s license.

Duties: Responsible for coordinating and supervising the annual budgeting process and ensuring effective financial planning and management within the College. Monitor and analyse expenditure trends, conduct monthly budgetaryand expenditure analysis, and prepare as well as review monthly and adjusted cash flow projections. The incumbent will coordinate and facilitate the budget adjustment process, ensuring alignment with departmental and Treasury requirements. Additional responsibilities include reviewing, analysing, and quality assuring management accounting reports and submissions, as well as monitoring financial performance against budgets and cash flow projections to recommend corrective measures where necessary. The incumbent will further be expected to supervise human, physical, and financial resources within the unit to ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and promote efficient financial management operations.

Minimum Requirements: National Senior Certificate/Grade 12/ plus a recognised 3- or 4-year qualification (Degree/Diploma) which includes professional teacher qualification. A minimum of seven years (7) working experience in the TVET sector education institution of which at least three (3) years should be at managerial level. Must be registered with SACE. Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Outlook) and must also be in possession of an unendorsed valid Driver’s License.

Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the overall management of the Campus. Lead and coordinate day to day management of staff, students and Campus activities. Lead and support designated staff to ensure learners attainment. Responsible for institutional quality assurance at Campus level. Oversee the professional development of both academic and support staff members. Accountable for all assets and financial transactions of the Campus. Monitor and evaluate Campus administration processes. 
  • Effective management of discipline and conflict management within the Campus. Prepare management plan to achieve target as well as needs of the students and other stakeholders. Plan, manage and monitor the students’ enrolment processes. Assist with formulation, implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient management of internal audit and risk management systems at the Campus. Plan and manage all Campus related projects within the allocated budgets. 
  • Play an active role in promoting extra and curricular activities on the Campus. Liaise with all College stakeholders. Encourage and support initiative with other academic institutions with regards to education and training. - Manage teaching and learning. Develop strategies to improve students’ performance and development. Manage curriculum delivery, interventions, examinations and assessment. Improve student performance and development. Supervision of staff (support and lecturing staff) and their performance in line with IQMS and PMDS. 
  • Comply with DHET and College policies and procedures. Ensure effective and efficient utilization of campus resources. Implement quality management systems, policies and processes for monitoring classroom practices, assessment, and moderation.   • Support and contribute to the implementation of the College transformation and strategic plan. Contribute to the audit processes related to strategic objectives. Manage and monitor the implementation of student support, teaching and learning framework. Ensure the implementation of the student fees structure and debt collection policy. Oversee all Students Support Services activities and the general welfare of the students. Implementation of internal audit and risk management systems at the campus level. Provide advisory role to College Senior Management, College Council, and its sub committees. Plan and budget in terms of a medium-term expenditure and manage projects within the set budget. Promote extra and co-curricular activities on the campus. Keep abreast with the latest research in the field of education. Management of the professional development of both academic and support staff members.
