RE ADVERTISED- ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Salary: R376 596 per annum, plus benefit (Salary Level 9)

Requirements: Matric certificate or equivalent. Recognised and relevant tertiary qualification (REQV13) in Computer Science / IT / Electronics. Recognised industries certifications such as MCSE / CCITP, A+, N+ security + and ITL will be an added advantage. At least five years’ functional work experience within the IT environment, of which two years should be at supervisory level. Experience in Microsoft Systems Administration including Windows Server, Active Directory and Ms Exchange, Enterprise storage administration, Enterprise Server Administration, Virtualisation Administration, backup-to-disk systems and associated software and Linux Administration; LAN, WAN and IP Telephony technologies. Good computer skills (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook). Good interpersonal skills and communication skills (verbal and written). Good administration, presentation and reporting skills. Leadership and management skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. Valid and unendorsed Code EB Drivers’ License.
Duties: Develop, implement, maintain and proactively communicate ICT policies and procedures to ensure effective and efficient use of IT systems throughout the College. Administer and monitor IT Security and Electronic access. Establish systems to safeguard hardware and data. Perform system backups. Distribute LAN and WAN access to students and staff according to college policy and needs. Research and develop specifications for LAN and WAN technologies according to the college’s requirements. Distribute LAN and WAN access to students and staff according to College Policies and needs. Set-up, manage and maintain WAN, LAN, Email and internet connections to all campus/sites of the college. Troubleshooting, resolving and documenting all ICT related issues. Research and develop plans and strategies for software and hardware products required for technologies and systems which will enable the college’s core business, support functions and programs (bio-metrics, CCTV cameras, call-logging, minor equipment repairs etc.). Advise on procurement of the college software and hardware according to the college’s needs. Distribute software and hardware for use by students and staff according to college policy and needs. Maintain and monitor the software and hardware system, reports on redundant hardware and software and advice on updating. Manage all licencing of software that the college is using and ensure that they are valid and appropriate. Assist with the procurement of intranet and internet products and services according to the college needs. Ensure access of intranet and internet in the college. Establish the college website and continuously updated with current and relevant information. Supervise the ICT Team and ensure the functionality of the IT Steering Committee. Assume overall responsibility of the IT unit.
RE –ADVERTISED - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Salary: R 376 596 per annum, plus benefits (Salary Level 9)

Requirements: Appropriate and recognised three-year Degree or Diploma in Education/ Social / Behavioural Science. Four-year qualification in psychology or social work. Completed accredited student counselling courses. Three years’ experience in an educational institution. A valid Code EB driver’s license. Sound financial planning and -management competencies Excellent report writing skills and information processing skills. Advanced-level competencies in MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Sound financial planning and management competencies. Advantageous: Registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa as either Registered Counsellor (Career Counselling or School Counselling) or Psychometrics (Independent Practice). Previous experience of at least 2 years in the TVET Sector. Technical Skills and knowledge. An expert understanding of student support and management at a TVET institution. Understanding of Student Support Framework and PFMA. Ability to design and implement internal administration systems and controls to ensure sound student support and administration. Proven computer literacy, including MSWord, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Proven report writing and presentation skills. Extensive knowledge of: The Further Education and Training Colleges Act, 2006, the National Student Financial Aid Scheme and related legislation, the Sector regulatory and legislative framework. Very good knowledge of student counselling regulations and best practices.
Duties: Support Coordination: Develop student support policies and procedures and ensure implementation and compliance. Provide required reports to the College Council, Executive Team and the Academic Board. Facilitate communication and cooperation with all managers regarding student support planning and services. Coordinate and provide guidance to campus based student liaison officers. Career Guidance, academic support and Resource Facility Management: Implement a guidance process prior to and during registration. Implement appropriate general assessment to ensure programme matches. Identify resource requirements per campus and motivate for resource availability. Monitor appropriate resource utilisation and ensure productive utilisation. Provide academic support referrals and job placement skills. Identify and implement outreach programmes and other extra-mural activities. Oversee and Manage the career guidance and teacher support activities of the College. Health and Wellness Services: Provide HIV/AIDS awareness and education interventions; Provide guidelines on student health and general counselling services and ensure that these are implemented. Maintain a database of all related health and wellness NGO’s and public services to ensure appropriate and accessible referrals. Establish and maintain productive and co-operative relations with related services. Ensure the participation of Students in Sports, Recreation and Culture. Student Governance: Facilitate SRC elections; conduct induction training per annum; and ensure SRC representation on all designated governing bodies. Support student leadership development initiatives. Develop “Student Code of Conduct” guidelines and co-ordinate student orientation and induction programmes. Provide support and facilitation of student disciplinary and grievance incidents. Student Financial Aid Services: Facilitate internal and NSFAS administered bursary applications and provide compliance guidelines. Identify potential sponsors (in collaboration with other College Managers). Track student bursary requirements compliance and implement remedial initiatives as required. Provide compliance and bursary utilisation reports as required. Academic Support to improve student performance: Plan and implement student support services framework in line with national guidelines. Put internal systems and controls to support/ensure academic achievement. Ensure the effectiveness of remedial support and liaison with educators through tutor programmes. Student Placement: Co-ordinate and facilitate job readiness training: Placement of students though WIL and WBE in the workplace. Create and maintain a database of all graduates. Liaison with commerce and industry and other relevant stakeholders and create a database of potential employers. Develop & Review work placement policy and procedures. Post placement reviews, reports and statistics. Unit Management: Formulate job profiles for all posts within the Unit. Conduct meetings with internal staff and plan and assign work within the Unit. Manage the Unit’s budget and cash flow. Compile the annual operational plan. Conduct performance appraisals with Unit staff and arrange and monitor individual development. Respond to queries related to student support.
SENIOR STATE ACCOUNTANT: FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
SALARY: R316 791 per annum (Salary Level 8)

Requirements: ● Degree in Financial Accounting ● 3 years’ functional work experience in an overall financial management and reporting role ● At least 1 year experience in preparing Annual Financial Statements in accordance with GRAP ● Good computer skills (including Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) with excellent Excel skills ● Good knowledge of CASEWARE software package, knowledge of Integrated Tertiary Software (ITS) will be an added advantage ● Leadership and supervisory skills; good communication and interpersonal skills. Good administration skills ● Experience in the public sector will be an advantage.
Duties:● Assisting in design, management and maintenance of a credible financial system ensuring that the College has a financial system which produces reports which are accurate, and can be relied upon to produce a confident audit trail ● Oversee all financial reports, registers and systems to ensure timeous and efficient extraction of standard and customised financial reports ● Ensure compliance with legislation related to public TVET College, thereby ensuring internal audits are clear of negative findings and an unqualified external opinion ● Assist in the management of the college cash flow via monthly, quarterly and annual reports; ensuring that the College is liquid at all times ● Assist in producing the College annual financial statements by ensuring acceptance of the trial balance and the annual financial statement of the College financial position by the external auditors.
SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER (DEMAND MANAGEMENT AND ACQUISITION)
SALARY: R R316 791 per annum (Salary Level 8)

Requirements: A three-year National diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Financial Management/Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification. 3 years’ experience in supply chain management/procurement Computer literate with Excel and Word/ITS. A valid code 08 driver’s license and willingness to travel. Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Act. Knowledge of ITS (Integrated Tertiary Software) systems will be an added advantage. Understanding and interpretation of applicable system and Central Supplier Database (CSD). Good organisational and administrative skills, excellent analytical skills, verbal and writing skills, with a high degree for confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and long hours.
Duties: Render demand and acquisition support: Control turnaround time of requisition and orders. Check and sign off on invoices /documents submitted for payment. Monitor issuing of office stock and ensure stock take and or controlling reorder levels. Supervise subordinates within the section, manage outstanding commitments. Supervise and undertake logistical support services. Check, place and verify orders for goods. Receive requests from end users. Maintain goods register. Give feedback on progress to the end user regarding the submitted request for goods and services. Facilitate Procurement process for Informal Tender process upon receipt of requisitions with specifications. Publish tender invitations, Receive and open bid documents. Compile adjudication and evaluation reports. Facilitate Procurement processes for formal tenders. Complete tender register. Provide secretarial or logistical support during the bid consideration and contracts conclusion process. Ensure deviations get recorded. Compile adverts for bids. Coordinate review and source quotations from service providers in the database according to the threshold values determined by the National Treasury. Provide secretarial support to all bid committees (BSC, BEC and BAC) and ensure minutes are timely distributed. All official communication to Bidders (successful & unsuccessful letters). Ensure supplier contract register is up to date. Ensure regular update of supplier database. Attend site meetings with Bidders and contractors. Manage internal communication of successful bidders. Compile relevant reports and review policies and processes.
RE-ADVERTISED - SECURITY OFFICER
Salary: R257 508 per annum, plus benefits (Level 7)

Requirements: Matric Certificate ● National Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6 or 7) in Security Management ● 5 years’ experience in the various disciplines related to Security Service Administration of which 2 years’ experience must be at a supervisory level ● Grade A PSIRA registration. Extensive proven knowledge of electronic security monitoring systems(CCTV) ● Knowledge and understanding of security legislation ● Knowledge of Security Risk & Threat Management ● Knowledge of Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act ● Experience in the following specific fields of security ● Physical Security, Information Security, Security Investigation ● Computer literacy ● A valid driver’s license ● Maintain high work standards under sustained pressure and frequent deadlines ● Knowledge and application of government policies on security services and statutory regulations.
Duties: Development of in-house and private security operational plans within the 7 college delivery sites ● Perform duties in line with the Physical Security Policy, Information Security Policy, Criminal Procedure Act, Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act and other relevant policies ● The implementation of Standard Operating Procedures ● Management of the security surveillance system ● Ensure that all employees and visitors are positively identified before access is granted ● Conduct inspection on all security access control systems and submit weekly reports to management ● Conduct physical security appraisals and ensure proper implementation of recommendations ● Liaise with relevant stakeholders i.e. State Security Agency (SSA), South African Police Services (SAPS), Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA), disaster management, etc. on all security related matters. Monitor the efficiency/effectiveness of the outsourced Security Company ● The candidate must be willing and prepared to travel and work irregular hours.

Salary: R 257 508 (Level 7)

Requirements: Matric plus a recognised 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Financial Accounting ● 3 years’ relevant experience in Bursary Management and Administration at Higher Education and Training Institutions. ●Sound knowledge of applicable Bursary policies and guidelines. ● Knowledge of donor and external funders will be an added advantage ● Advanced computer skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation applications ● Proven exposure to students and data software system ● Knowledge of and ability to manage, coordinate and ensure credible allocation of funding ● Accurate Record Management and Statistics ● Ability to work well under pressure and independently ● Adhere to strict and agreed deadlines.
Duties: Manage, implement, monitor, verify and administer the Bursary Aid Scheme, Bursary Committees and bursary guidance of NSFAS DHET to ensure compliance ● Consult with all stakeholders and devise bursary schedules, management plans and procedures ● Retrieval statistical data from the student data system and compilation, reconciliation, research, presentation of status and reports to Management and Financial Aid Committees on a monthly basis ● Consolidate means test reports from six campuses of TNC ● Closely monitor student attendance in compliance with DHET/TVET guidelines in relation to TNC student attendance policy ● Ensure well-planned and organized team workloads to ensure that the work of the team is allocated appropriately. ● Develop roles to meet the changing demands of the service, to ensure that recommendations for solutions regarding major or complex issue are timeously undertaken● Ensure allocation of bursaries, payments control are met, and adopt a proactive approach to and assist with the management of student debtors ● Facilitate and liaise on an advisory and support capacity to ensure standardization of work processes of bursary administration. MARKETING AND COMMUNICATION OFFICER
Salary: R 316 791 per annum (Salary Level 8) plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Requirements: Matric plus a minimum 3-year Degree/National Diploma in the field of Marketing and Communication, Public Relations; Media Studies or similar field. Computer Literacy (ICDL or MS Office). A minimum of 1 to 2 years’ relevant experience in the relevant field is required. Needs to be well versed in English Language with excellent writing skills. A code 08 driver’s License. Energetic and focused on reaching targets. Proven experience with regard to student recruitment and dealing with the media. Ability to manage time effectively and problem-solving skills. Report writing skills.
Duties: Communication with external markets across the College’s catchment area through PR functions, career exhibitions, school visits, Campus visits and more. Network with relevant role-players and stakeholders (internal/external) by attending functions, meetings, Imbizos etc. Student and internal market research. Facilitate external market research and generate new opportunities for recruitment. Gather relevant news and compile articles with photographs for internal and external publications. Co-ordinate and facilitate door-to-door campaigns, recruitment roadshows and various other recruitment methods to reach targets. Maintain the corporate image across all College sites. Participate in internal and external functions and events. Adopt and use digital technology for efficient and effective marketing and communication. Coordinate effective marketing for the College. Must be prepared to work after hours when necessary. Must be prepared to travel.
MARKETING AND ADMIN OFFICER (CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT)
Salary: R 316 791 per annum (Salary Level 8) plus 37% in lieu of benefits

Requirements: A National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 or National Certificate Vocational (NCV)) Level 4 Certificate. A recognised Bachelor’s Degree/National Diploma in Marketing and Communication Management / Sales Management or equivalent qualification in a relevant field will be an added advantage. Advanced Computer Literacy Skills (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint). A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the marketing environment, sales or business development. A candidate must be well versed in English Language with excellent writing skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Good facilitation and presentation skills. Proven experience in the use of social media and website in an organisation context. Self-motivated, ability to work under pressure and deal with crisis. Proven experience in planning and coordinating corporate events. Ability to interact and liaise with diverse audience range. A valid driver’s licence is essential as traveling and extended working hours will be required.
Duties: Establish the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development within the College. Work with and support SMME / incubates to develop and implement strategic sales plans for their business. Identify and evaluate specific new profitable business opportunities and liaise with relevant organisations and Government Departments to secure funding/support. Plan and implement SMME’s information sessions to ignite culture of entrepreneurship amongst targeted market/ audience. Plan and implement business plan competitions to excite target market interest in self- employment through entrepreneurship. Engage local media networks when needed to publicise Centre for Entrepreneurship Development events, initiatives and success stories. Conduct regular client satisfaction surveys. Provide required admin support to the centre for Entrepreneurship and/or the Incubator. Compile gathered information according to the reporting template. Plan and deliver two entrepreneurship day annually that offers platform to promote supported and local entrepreneurs. Assist SMMEs/Incubator with development of website and other social media platforms.
COUNCIL SECRETARY (GOVERNING COUNCIL)
Salary: R 316 791 per annum (Salary Level 8) plus 37% in lieu of benefits)

Requirements: B.Comm. Law/LLB Degree/BA Degree (Administration/English/Communication); At least 3 years’ experience in administrative and secretarial duties; Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office. Competencies: Well-developed verbal and written communication skills; Ability to develop comprehensive yet succinct written and presentation documents that communicate Council Resolutions; Document Management and Record Keeping Skills; High level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information at all times; Well-groomed and self-motivated with learning agility; Good organisational and time management skills; Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines; Ability to work flexi hours as and when required.
Duties:Arranging logistics for the Council and EXCO for meetings; Providing secretarial functions for the Council and EXCO meetings; Ensuring regulatory compliance with relevant related legislation, Policies, guidelines, protocols and systems; Providing advice and guidance on relevant policy gaps; Advising Council on best practices of Corporate Governance; Maintain accurate records of official documents and safeguard sensitive or confidential information from disclosure; Manage correspondence and serves as a point of contact between the Council and other parties; Compile and monitor the Council budget and expenditure; Process claims of Council members; Execute duties as and when delegated by the Principal.
