EXECUTIVE MANAGER: CORPORATE SHARED SERVICES (CSS) 
(All-inclusive salary package of R 1 612 477) 
Five (5) year fixed-term contract 
(Ref: TEDA078/2022) 
 
Competencies and Qualifications 
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Leadership/Management at NQF Level 9. Minimum ten to fifteen (10-15) years’ experience in a Human Resources environment with seven to ten (7-10) years in a Senior or Executive Management role in a corporate environment or public service. Exposure to communications and marketing environment, with more than seven (7) years Stakeholder engagement experience. More than five (5) years exposure to legal matters in the corporate environment. More than ten (10) years understanding of the public service and its entities. 
  • Exceptional skills in Stakeholder Partnering, Organising and Prioritising, Strategic Thinking, Communication, Problem Solving, Innovation, Business Awareness, Risk Management, Integrity, Pro Active Communication and Report Writing, Interpersonal Skills and Negotiation. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be charged with the responsibility to provide holistic Corporate Shared Services support to the organisation. This role forms the critical part of the Executive Management team and takes on the leadership of a diverse portfolio of functions including People Management, ICT, Legal Services and Office Administration, Research and Knowledge Management and Communication and Stakeholder Management. 
  • Maximise the organisation’s ability to achieve its strategic goals with focus on enabling a professional achievement focused organisation through a performance management system. Participate in various Board Committees. Participate in overall Organisation Strategic Planning and Business Plan process by developing strategies aligned to the objective of the organisation. Manage Employee Relations within the Organisation. 
  • Manage the development and implementation of ICT Strategy aligned to TEDA and City of Tshwane’s ICT strategy. Oversee the management of Legal Services within TEDA. Oversee the management of Office Administration and Communication and Stakeholder Management, Research & Knowledge Management. 
 
 
 
 
EXECUTIVE MANAGER: TRADE, INVESTMENT PROMOTION & PROJECT (TIPP) 
(All-inclusive salary package of R 1 612 477) 
Five (5) year fixed-term contract 
(Ref: TEDA079/2022) 
 
Competencies and Qualifications 
  • Master’s Degree/ MBA in Finance or Economics, Public Administration or Development Planning or Project Management at NQF level 9. Minimum ten to fifteen (10-15) years’ experience in International Trade and Policy Research and Legislation environment with seven to ten (7-10) years in a Senior or Executive Management role, coupled with trade negotiations experience with high level stakeholder engagement; as well as developing corporate strategies and plans. 
  • Exceptional skills in Critical Thinking, Creativity, Business Acumen, Diplomacy, Customer Focused, Analysing, Business Awareness and Knowledge, Risk Management, Integrity, Verbal and Written Communication and Report Writing, Interpersonal Skills and Negotiation, Conceptualising, Policy Implementation, Project Management and Financial Acumen. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • The incumbent will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will be charged with the responsibility to promote the exports of goods and services manufactured and produced within the City of Tshwane as well as to support the development of existing and potential exporters based within the city. 
  • Increase investment into the City of Tshwane through the attraction, facilitation, retention and expansion of local and foreign investment. To pioneer the development and implementation of investment attraction, facilitation, business retention and expansion strategies aimed at positioning City of Tshwane as a preferred investment destination. Development of Trade and Investment Strategy to attract and retain trade and investment in Tshwane. Participate in Executive Meeting and Board Committee meetings. 
  • Package opportunities for potential investors and assist projects with pre-feasibility investigations such as business plan development, feasibility studies, site identification, and site tours of facilities and infrastructure available in the City of Tshwane. 
  • Manage Project Development and Facilitation, building export capacity, global market research and facilitate export market development, Ensure the alignment of projects to the organisation’s strategic objectives as well as those of the City of Tshwane. Provide leadership and direction regarding the feasibility and viability of project proposals and of project budget. Ensure strategies, policies and procedures developed in the context of development facilitation are aligned to the organisation’s strategic objectives as well as those of the City of Tshwane. Provide leadership and direction for the implementation of development facilitation which results in optimisation of the catalytic public investment. Oversee and monitor project identification, feasibility studies, business plans and stakeholder management.
