SENIOR MANAGER – FINANCE
(Salary range: R1,525,746.00 All inclusive)

The Senior Manager: Finance will be responsible to ensure sound financial management by ensuring compliance to financial management standards and legislations, providing financial management support to all staff, researching, and analysing accounting data and preparing reports.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree or Advanced Diploma in Commerce or Finance,
• Eight (8) years financial experience and four (4) years at a Managerial level
• Management accounting,
• Financial accounting practices,
• Value Added Tax (VAT) and Taxation (A MUST),
• GRAP and MFMA,
• Financial reporting i.e. Management accounts reporting and financial statements,
• Audit processes,
• SAP and CaseWare.
Added Advantages:
• Registration with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants Certification (SAICA).

Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for:
• Contributing to the development of the finance strategy and Implementation.
• Assisting in the costing of the strategic plan to ensure alignment with the budget.
• Developing operational plans for the finance department.
• Monitoring the output in relation to the key performance areas for the unit.
• Ensuring compliance with South African (SA) financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• Reviewing systems and processes, reports in line with applicable prescript.
• Implementing and maintaining an effective cash management system.
• Developing and managing an effective payment system.
• Ensuring all revenue due to the entity is duly collected.
• Reviewing all financial reports and the Interim and Annual Financial Statements.
• Reporting on financial health of business units at regular intervals.
• Providing income statements and performance statistics to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
• Providing budget management, control and guidance.
• Monitoring project costs.
• Ensuring strict adherence to financial controls.
• Analysing risk reports for the unit.
• Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements relating to company law and accounting standards.
• Supervision of staff.
