Position Purpose
A Trainee Yard Official will be required to undergo modular training, conduct and successfully complete the required modules as to qualify and certified as a Yard Official.

Qualifications & Experience: • Grade 12 • Valid First Aid Level 3 or valid Basic Ambulance Assistants• Fire Fighter 1 (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited. • Hazmat Awareness (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited. • Fire Fighter 2 (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited. • Hazmat Operational (SAQA/IFSAC) accredited. • Hazmat response technician (SAQA/IFSAC) Accreditation. • Higher Certificate in Fire Technology (NQF 5) Only Internal Applicants will be recognised with at least one of the following qualification * Higher Certificate in Fire Technology (SAESI) or * Intermediate Level Certificate (IFE) or * Fire Officer Certificate issued by old Transnet Training Centres or * National Certificate: Emergency Services Supervision - Fire and Rescue Operations SAQA 64390 • Four (4) - Years minimum. Experience in Hazmat Fire and Emergency Services environment • Be in possession of a valid driver license (minimum C1) with PrDP and be in a position to drive such a vehicle. • Mentally and Physically Fit.
